In the browser navigate in the following way: 1. Enter the camera s IP address. 2. Enter user name and password. 3. Click on Setup. 4. Select Applications and then <application name>. Replace <application name> by the name of the analytics application installed on your camera or encoder. 5. Click on the Main page link. The IPS WebViewer opens. 3 2 Activating or Deactivating the Detection To activate the detection click on the Activate detection button. Now the camera image is analyzed according to the configuration stored in the currently selected profile. If you no longer want events to be triggered again click on the same button. 3 Selecting a Profile A profile is a set of parameters. You may want to surveil different areas in different situations, for example during the day and at night. For this purpose you can use different profiles. Switch between the profiles as required. To change to a different profile just select it from the drop-down list. 4 Text Overlays In the upper left corner text is overlaid over the camera image. The first two uppercase letters denote the analytics application: IT stands for Intrusion Detection, MO for Motion Detection, and ST for Sabotage Detection. The following information is displayed (example for Intrusion Detection): Text Colour Meaning IT Active Prog1d green Detection is active, Profile 1 is selected IT Active Prog1d: Activity yellow Activity has been detected IT Inactive yellow Detection is deactivated IT Alarm red Alarm has been triggered IT Video Alarm red Video alarm has been triggered 5 Object Overlays Recognized objects are marked with a rectangle; for alarm objects the rectangle is red. In Intrusion Detection the following overlays are displayed: 1. Rectangles in cyan or dark blue: cyan means that an object has been recognized; dark blue indicates the object fulfils the minimum size and already has moved, but not yet passed the change from the green zone to the yellow one. 2. Vectors are displayed starting at the origin where an object has been recognized to the current centre point of the object. 3. 4 6 Activity Event Activity is detected in Motion Detection and in Intrusion Detection. An activity event ends when the activity is finished and the switch-off delay has elapsed. Activity is indicated as text in the upper left corner. 7 Alarm Event If an object fulfils all the relevant criteria, an alarm is triggered. In Intrusion Detection an alarm is set off, if there is an object that 1. is bigger than the defined object size, 2. has moved at least a little, and 3. has moved from the green zone to the yellow one. It is indicated by red flashing of the alarm button Click on this button to acknowledge the alarm. and by a red rectangle around the alarm object. During an alarm event images can be recorded and the event can be signalled to an alarm management system. These actions must be configured on the camera s web page. When you acknowledge the alarm both the recording and the signalling are stopped. If you do not interfere, the alarm will automatically be acknowledged after the time set in the global parameters. 8 Triggering a Test Alarm If you want to test the actions you have configured for the case of an alarm you may trigger a test alarm. To do this click on the button. All the configured actions then should be performed. 9 Full Screen Mode If you click on the Full screen button only the camera image is displayed. To end the full screen mode press the esc key. 5 10 Operation Status and Log Data If you want to get information on the current status of the analytics application, switch to the Application Packages page. The camera stores information on configuration changes and on events in a log file. To view the log file click on the Log button. Copyright 2012 Securiton GmbH.
