2 May 27, evening -- Incident #10 -- motor vehicle accident south of Filing CLVFD firefighters and emergency responders reported to the scene of a rollover accident on 73C. EMTs provided patient assessment and care and special duty responders controlled traffic around the scene so firefighters, police, and the Red Feather Lakes ambulance could handle the situation safely. JUNE June 10, afternoon -- Incident #11 -- fire in Filing CLVFD firefighters responded to a wildfire burning on a lot in Filing 12. Thanks to community members quickly spotting and reporting the fire, firefighters were able to get water on it quickly to knock down the worst of the flames. Squads from Red Feather Lakes VFD and the Forest Service responded to assist with mop-up and ensuring that all parts of the fire were cold and completely out, unlikely to rekindle. Special Duty Responders handled traffic control around the scene, as our fire vehicle were completely blocking the road, and lead-in for other responding departments. June 11, afternoon -- Incident #12 -- smoke report north of Crystal Lakes -- CLVFD firefighters and SDR responded to look for the source of a large smoke plume northwest of Crystal Lakes. It was reported that this smoke was likely from the Badger Creek Fire currently burning in Wyoming near the Colorado border, but CLVFD members wanted to make sure that the smoke was not coming from a fire closer or more likely to impact us. After determining that the smoke was definitely coming from far to the northwest, responders stood down. June 14, morning -- Incident #13 -- mutual aid to Red Feather Lakes VFD -- CLVFD firefighters and special duty responders stood by at the station as Red Feather Lakes VFD responded to a fire on Deadman Road. Ultimately, RFLVFD determined that they would not need assistance from CLVFD. June 15, morning -- Incident #14 -- wildfire at Creedmore Lakes -- CLVFD firefighters responded to a fire near Creedmore Lakes started by a camper setting off fireworks. Additional firefighters and special duty responders stood by at the station in case more responders were needed. Responders stood down when it was determined the smoke was coming from a chimney. June 17, morning -- Incident #16 -- smoke report in Filing 2 -- CLVFD firefighters and special duty responders turned out in response to a smoke report in Filing 2. Responders stood down after checking out the entire area without finding a fire. June 18, night -- Incident #17 -- medical call in Filing CLVFD emergency responders provided patient assessment and care while special duty responders provided lead-in for the Red Feather Lakes ambulance.

3 June 20, night -- Incident #18 -- smoke report west of Jenny Creek -- CLVFD firefighters and special duty responders turned out in response to a smoke report west of Filing 7 that was determined to be from a fire on forest service land a quarter- to half-mile west of the Jenny Creek area. With night falling and the fire in rough terrain, it was determined that it would be unsafe for responders to hike to the fire. The cold temperature and recent rain dampened and slowed fire activity, making it unlikely to spread quickly overnight, so CLVFD firefighters kept an eye on the fire during the night and handed it off to forest service firefighters in the morning. JULY July 3, morning -- Incident #19 -- medical call in Filing 1 -- CLVFD emergency responders provided patient assessment and care while special duty responders provided lead-in for the Red Feather Lakes ambulance.
