GENERAL BUSINESS The Board received and accepted the monthly report of operations, training and fire prevention for May - June

The Board was advised they had not received the Aromas Day parking plan. The Board received a letter of interest to serve on the board from Mr. Ken Mahler, and Mr. Ron Mesiroff expressed his interest to serve on the board. MOTION M/S/C (Mortan/Mahler 3 ayes, 2 absent) recommending appointment of Mr. Ken Mahler and Mr. Ron Mesiroff to the District Board of Directors. The board received a staff report with information on the taxing percentages variance in the county, a District position paper, and the estimated costs for a ballot measure. Staff has been directed to work with Fire Chief Hutchinson of North County Fire in contacting the County regarding the tax percentage the district receives. The board will also move forward with putting a ballot measure on the 2020 ballot to increase revenues in the district. 10 AROMAS TRI-COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT 2221 Garden Rd, Monterey, CA STAFF REPORT January 15, 2019 To: From: Board of Directors Dave Fulcher, Fire Chief By: Arron Young, Battalion Chief Subject: Monthly Activity Report Nov- Dec 2018 BURN PERMIT ISSUANCE Staff has issued well over 200 permits to members from local and adjoining areas. APPARATUS Engine 35 is currently out of service with a head gasket leak. It was returned from the shop but the repairs were not complete, so it has been sent back in again It will also receive its annual maintenance while at the repair shop in Gilroy. Engine 135 is currently being staffed as the front-line engine. TRAINING Staff focused on Fire Suppression, Fire Prevention, EMS and Physical Fitness Training during this period. The ATC crews are now conducting CPT drills every week. These drills focus on a weekly training topic that helps support proficiency on fire ground evolutions. These drills can be single unit or multi-unit drills. The crews are also completing a mandatory EMS ethics training. FACILITIES The station has no maintenance issues at this current time. PERSONNEL There are no personnel changes to report. EMERGENCY RESPONSE ATC responded Mutual Aid to North County FPD on 2 structure fires in this period. All local responses were within our average call type and frequency.

11 FIRE PREVENTION Twenty-Four (36) fire prevention contact hours were documented this period. Included in these hours were building inspections and burn permit issuance contacts. Additionally, E-35 was a part of assisting Pajaro Valley with Project Christmas. Delivered meals for 25 families at 76 Murphy crossing.
