2 Consumer Features Magellan is the first security system to combine security with popular consumer features and a stylish design. Magellan looks different than anything else in the security industry. Install it anywhere in your home or small business, Magellan blends beautifully with any décor. Listen to music, leave a message or use your system as a telephone, alarm clock or monitoring device. With Magellan you have security and so much more! Built-In FM Radio (model 6060 only) My radio plays when I m not home so it sounds like someone is always here Listen to your favorite radio stations with Magellan s built-in FM radio. With its crisp quality sound you can listen to music and store up to 15 radio stations in memory. The system can have your radio turn on automatically whenever you arm your system to make it sound like someone is always home.
3 Hands-Free Telephone (model 6060 only) High Quality Voice and Sound Your security system can be used as a handsfree telephone. Dial out or answer incoming phone calls by using Magellan s built-in speakerphone. 30 seconds before arming seconds 10 seconds Have your system status provided to you in a clear, crisp voice using digital 8-bit sound. Don t memorize zones Magellan s voice assistance will tell you if your front door is open. Magellan can also give you a vocal countdown to let you know how long you have before your system is activated. Select music or your standard beep sound for all delays both of which can be programmed with Magellan s user-friendly menus.
4 Family Message Center Hi mom, I ve gone to the park to play soccer with Johnny Use your security system as a message center to leave a reminder or note to someone coming home later. You can record your message with one touch or you can call Magellan from any phone to leave a message. A flashing light indicates that a message is waiting just push a button and listen to your message in a crisp, high-quality voice. Receive System Status 3 Ways With Magellan you can check your system status 3 different ways. Have your status told to you by voice, text message or a flashing light.

Even if you ve never owned a security system before, Magellan is designed to give you simplicity at its finest. 6 Alarm Clock Set Magellan s fully featured alarm clock to wake you by beeping, playing a selectable tune or turning on the radio it s easy, Magellan can sit right on your bedside table. And don t worry, there s a snooze button for those early mornings too! Home Automation (X-10) We set the air conditioner to come on everyday so our apartment is cool by the time we get home With Magellan s X-10 home automation support you can control your home s lights, heat, air conditioning and almost any other compatible product.

You can choose between selectable tunes, voice or beeping to notify you of such an action. Remote Control Operation Use your remote control buttons to automate your most frequently used security functions like arming and disarming. Use one of the other buttons as a panic signal or as a controller for your lights and garage door.
8 Reputed Security Magellan consists of wireless detection devices installed at specific entry and exit points, as well as other vulnerable areas, such as windows. These devices protect the premises and communicate with Magellan s main console. If you have armed the system and a device detects a breach, a siren will be activated and your central station will immediately be notified by phone. Choose from wireless motion detectors that are immune to pets, door contacts, and remote controls that automate your most frequently used security functions. If you receive a voice message, you can press a button on your phone to communicate with the person in need through Magellan s speakerphone. And with Magellan s user-friendly menus it s easy to set phone numbers and record personalized voice messages.
