1 Notification of Fire System Isolation FIN NORA No. Complete Fire Impairment Notice (FIN) before any impairment. Note 3 business days notice is required. Submit the FIN to the BAC Airport Facilities on fire.notification@bne.com.au, Attach a site drawing showing area to be isolated and affected works area. Impairment 1. No Impairments are to be carried out unless this form is signed off by the Airport Facilities Representative 2. Airport Facilities Representative will the FIN to the following: - risk.compliance@bne.com.au and or fax to FM Global redtagau@fmglobal.com Fax (03) Fire Contractor at the time of isolation to take the completed FIN to the Duty Terminal Managers Office to advise DTM of the Fire Impairment and then the actual FIN to be displayed on the Fire Panel-Terminal Isolations Only. For all outer buildings, FIN to be displayed at FIP De-isolation 1. Complete Section (E) of this notification following De-isolation and send to as above 2. Place the FIN in the Completed display FIN area on the FIP. 3. Airport Facilities Representative will the closed out FIN to the following: - risk.compliance@bne.com.au and or fax to FM Global redtagau@fmglobal.com Fax (03) Call BAC Terminal Compliance Coordinator (07) for any questions or further clarification on the Impairment Procedures in normal business working hours Monday to Friday. 4 1. Company Requesting isolation to complete their section (A) in consultation with BAC Project Manager 2. BAC Responsible Person / Project Manager to review section A and then complete their section acknowledging that they have considered the impact of the works on the Fire System, and Building Operations. All reasonable steps have been taken to ensure no impact to Operations. The FIN is then sent to the BAC Airport Facilities Representative fire.notification@bne.com.au 3. The BAC Airport Facilities Representative will then: Review the FIN and reconcile the areas requested to be isolated against existing fire impairment notices. Review the FIN to ensure it has been completed satisfactorily and that the control measures that have been put in place will reduce BAC residual risk to an acceptable level If the FIN process is unsatisfactory, it will be returned to the BAC Responsible Person / Project Manager with the appropriate comments 4. Once the BAC Airport Facilities Representative is satisfied that the FIN has been satisfactorily completed, it will be sent to the following: BAC Responsible Person / Project Manager BAC Risk & Compliance risk.compliance@bne.com.au BAC Insurer FM Global redtagau@fmglobal.com 5. The BAC Responsible Person / Project Manager will then forward the FIN to the BAC approved contractor and formally request the fire isolation to be conducted 6. The BAC approved contractor will arrive on site at the agreed time. Prior to conducting the fire isolation, the BAC approved contractor will notify the following: Aviation Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) that fire protection systems or water supplies is out of service ITB Duty Terminal Manager on and Alarm Monitoring Office for all BAC building isolations The BAC approved contractor must display the FIN in the following location ITB To be displayed on the front of the mimic EWIS panel in the Duty Terminal Managers office. The Duty Manager must sign the FIN DTB - To be displayed on the front of the mimic EWIS panel in the Alarm Monitoring Offices office. The AMO must sign the FIN 7. De- Isolation. At the agreed time the BAC approved contractor must advise the following: Aviation Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) ITB Duty Terminal Manager on and Alarm Monitoring Office (3).doc Page 4
5 The BAC approved contractor will then conduct the de-isolation ensuring all systems are normal. all systems are normal the contractor will complete Part B of the FIN and will place the FIN in the completed FIN folder within located at the Duty Managers Office or AMO Once 8.
