General Corrigo controllers are able to control temperature in up to three sequences. There are also models with pressure and humidity control, see the section about control functions on page 5. Corrigo has a backlit display and an alarm and operation indication panel on the front. It is easy to scroll through the various menus in script using the buttons. There are warning texts to reduce the possibility of error. Menu system In normal operation, when the keyboard is not used, a rolling series of information is shown as below. * CORRIGO C10 * Må :10 Y1 / Y2 / Y3 0% / 45% / 0 % Börvärde/Ärvärde 20.0 C / 20.0 C The controller has a year-base scheduler and automatic adaption to summer time. The menu system log in function has four different user levels. At the lowest level it is possible, without logging in, to see the most important values, and to initiate and acknowledge alarms. The highest level is reserved for the systems manager. This provides the user with a degree of security and reduces the risk of stoppages due to human error. Other languages Corrigo is supplied with basic settings in English. The language can be changed by holding the! button depressed during power up and then following the menu selection in the display. Up to four languages are available in one and the same unit. There is a list of available language versions on the last page. Information series This starts up when the operator leaves the main menu or if the keyboard is left unattended for 10 minutes. Initially the start window is always displayed for 10 seconds. Then it starts to alternate between the information windows every three seconds. Models C20 and C40 also have two menus in the information series for pressure in supply air/exhaust air. On models C30 and C40 there is also a menu for humidity control. The button Ok is used to stop the information series and to open the main menu. The heading TEMP CONTROL always comes up at the top of the display. Now it is possible to move easily up or down through the headings using the buttons marked é ê and to open the required sub group using the Ok button. The sub groups vary in number depending on user level and type of controller. On reaching the required menu the button Ok is pressed again and the menu of values for the required range is displayed. Main Menu and Log In Main menu The main menu consists of several sub headings. Press the Ok button and click up or down with é ê buttons. login Configuration Temp Control Humidity Control Pressure Control Running mode AI Analogue in DI Digital in AO Analogue Out DO Digital Out Scheduler Alarm settings Settings User levels The menu system is divided into four user levels to minimize the risk of making incorrect settings by mistake. 0 Without login it is possible to see the most important values i.e in- and outputs, scheduler, setpoints, alarms and acknowledging of alarms. 1 Main setpoint and time/date can be altered. Outputs can be set to manual override and running mode can also be manually set. Other settings can be read but not altered. 2 It is possible to shift all setpoints i.e outdoor compensation curves, temperature control deviation alarms, alarm suppressions, delays and scheduler settings. 3 Highest level is normally only used by the system manager on start-up and balancing the system. Configuration and all settings can be made. 2 N.B. The number of headings varies depending on user level and model. The heading Humidity control is only available on models C30 and C40 and the heading Pressure control is only on models C20 and C40. On page 3 there is an overview of all the menus and sub menus.

Menu tree Configuration Configuration can be carried out in two ways, either using the configuration guide or directly in the script menu. The configuration guide By using the configuration guide, which is supplied on delivery you will save time during installation. The guide shows all the configuration settings and all the selections which can be made. Basic setting selections are marked in bold type. By going through the various functions and filling in the appropriate figure at each selection the simple and easy to read configuration code can be obtained. When one or more settings is changed the controller will restart automatically when the operator leaves the configuration menu. Write in the figures from the guide directly as configuration code. Script configuration Changes can also be made directly in the script menus which is very practical when individual parameters are to be adjusted. When the configuration menu is opened the control function setting is shown first after which settings can be made in script by going downwards in the sub menus and setting the required selection, see the figure on the left. The other menus will adapt themselves automatically to your application. 3

Scheduler Corrigo contains a year based scheduler. All weekschedules, dates of holidays etc are set in the scheduler menu. Period Corrigo has three periods for setting week schedules. Operation Monday to Friday from 7.00 to is one period setting and operation Saturday 8.00 to is another period. Two speed operation When using two speed operation there are three time periods for setting full speed operation and three periods for reduced speed operation. If the periods are set to overlap, full speed and reduced speed, the system will choose full speed automatically. Date for holidays This is used to shut down the system on official holidays etc. Ten possible dates can be set. Holiday period Range as above but with two time periods with optional number of days. Intended for closing down the system during Christmas, summer holidays, etc. Summer time Resetting/ Daylight saving time The scheduler has automatic resetting for summertime and wintertime according to European standard. The function can be suppressed in configuration if not required. Alarm Handling and Operation Indication Corrigo controllers have built in alarm and alarm indication which means no separate alarm panel is necessary. Alarm traced to the LEDs on the front are lit on approriate alarm and all alarms are always shown as clear script in the display. The alarm lamp above the alarm button also blinks red in the event of an alarm. Corrigo has alarm suppression of 5 seconds, except smoke alarm and frost protection which activate immediately. Alarm queue To control the alarm list press the % button. The display will then show an active alarm, the date and time of activation and the alarm status. Acknowledging an alarm Alarms are acknowledged and removed from the alarm list by using the % button. If alarms are still active they will remain in the alarm list but the blinking will be replaced by a steady AL in the display and a steady red light on alarm signals. Arrow indications are shown on the display when there are several alarms. Alarm status (display indication) Blinking AL indicates unacknowledged active alarm Steady AL indicates acknowledged active alarm Blinking OK indicates unacknowledged aborted alarm Overview alarm panel (LED indication) The LEDs are connected to functions of various inputs and outputs. Normal operation indication is yellow. Red LED indicates operational failure. 5 Temperature Control Corrigo is able to control up to three sequences and the temperature control function is present in all Corrigo models for air handling. The three outputs can be individually set for the required function: heating, cooling or damper. Output Y2 can also be set to control rotating, plate or liquid-connected heat exchangers. Control functions There are six different functions to choose between: Supply air control Supply air control with outdoor temp compensation Supply air control with cascade control of the supply air temperature Room temperature control with min-max limiting of supply air temperature Room temperature control without supply air sensor Supply air temperature control with outdoor temp compensation or room control with min/max limiting outdoor temperature dependent switchover Exhaust air control, min/max limiting of supply air temperature Application example: Supply air control, outdoor compensation. Outdoor sensor Frost protection sensor Supply air sensor Outdoor temperature compensation Compensation has four breakpoints. At each one of these both outdoor temperature and compensation can be set. The function can be used for summer or winter compensation or in combination as in the diagram below. Compensation can be both positive and negative. The degree of compensation states in degrees Centigrade how much the setpoint should be shifted. External setpoint When an external setting for the main setpoint is required the setpoint device TG-R4/Pt1000 can be connected to Corrigo. If this function is used the function for efficiency evaluation cannot be used. This function is not available in models C30 and C40. Heat retention/ shut-down mode The heater is kept warm when the unit is closed down. In warm weather this function is shut off automatically by means of the outdoor temperature sensor to reduce energy consumption. Heat Exchangers Plate heat exchanger A pressure sensor is used on the exhaust air side of the heat exchanger and the defrosting function starts if the pressure fall exceeds the set value. During defrosting the sequence order between the heat valve and the heat exchanger is altered which results in the heat valve opening first and the capacity of the heat exchanger being reduced to enable defrosting. Both fans will continue to operate. If the effect of the heater is not sufficient despite full output on heating battery the heat exchanger is permitted to supply limited capacity so that the supply air temperature will not be too low. Defrosting continues until the pressure switch turns back, and the process continues for another 10 minutes. After that the system reverts to normal running mode. If it has proved impossible to conclude defrosting within 30 minutes (the pressure sensor still senses frost) the supply air fan is stopped while the exhaust air fan continues to run to ensure that the heat exchanger will be defrosted. The process goes on for 10 minutes after which normal operation is resumed. Rotating Heat exchanger When output Y2 has been set for rotating exchanger input A14 is also set to receive alarms from the heat exchanger. There is also a function (yes/no) which stops the system when an alarm is received from a rotating heat exchanger thus avoiding the risk of operation with a heat exchanger that is non functional. Liquid connected heat exchanger A sensor is placed in the exhaust air battery inlet. To avoid the risk of freezing the temperature at the sensor is limited to a minimum by reducing the output to the control valve for recovery. The minimum temperature can be set. For liquid connected recovery the efficiency evaluation function cannot be used. Extract air Outdoor air Pump Exhaust air Sensor Control valve Supply air (Liquid-connected heat exchanger) 5

Pressure control (models C20 and C40) These models have built in individual pressure control of supply and exhaust air fans. The pressure sensor in the supply air duct is connected to input AI1. This controls the output signal to the frequency switch or the equivalent for the supply air fan, so as to obtain the preset pressure.there is a similar function for exhaust air. The pressure setpoint is set individually for the supply and exhaust air fans and there is also a setting for reduced setpoint. Normal or reduced setpoint Shifting between normal and reduced setpoint is obtained via periods in the scheduler. Inputs DI 7 and DI 8 also affect the running mode (extended operation). Compensation(Pa) 1 2 Outdoor temperature Outdoor compensation Corrigo is also equipped with a pressure compensation curve which works on the same principle as for temperature compensation. The function compensates pressure setpoint (Pa) to outdoor temperature in four breakingpoints which can be set at any required level for both compensation and outdoor temperature. 3 (Breaking points) 4 Normal setpoint Application example C20 Humidity control (models C30 and C40) A room humidity sensor and a duct humidity sensor are connected to Corrigo which can be configured for dehumidifying or humidifying via output Y6. Humidifying and dehumidifying in sequence can also be controlled. In this case output A06 is used to control humidifying and the output for cooling (A02 or 3) is used to control dehumidifying. The duct humidity sensor limits the humidity in the supply air duct to a maximum. If duct limitation is not required the input is left open. 7 Control and Supervision Functions Operation supervision of fans (models C10,C30) When the outputs for fans are activated, a fan operational signal is fetched, either from a pressure switch placed at the location of each of the fans or as a closing contact on the corresponding contactor. If the fan that is started does not give the operational signal, the Operational failure alarm is activated. The alarm delay is set under alarm settings. On alarm Operational failure the system is closed down. The operational signal from fans must be connected to Corrigo to get the system working. Operation supervision (models C20 and C40) For Corrigo with pressure control, the pressure sensors are used to indicate the operational status of the fans. On a low input signal, < 5% of the measuring range, the indication signal on the front will fall and the alarm for operation failure will be given after a delay. Two-speed fans Control of two-speed fans can be configured in Corrigo. Start and stop occurs individually for supply air and exhaust air. On the transition from high speed to reduced speed there is a delay for retardation before reduced speed operation is activated. The timer has separate time settings for high speed and reduced speed. In units with two-speed fans and DX-cooling Corrigo can be augmented with step controllers SC1/D or SC2/D to control cooling machines. Extended ventilation If extended ventilation is required a push button or timer can be connected to Corrigo. The period for extended ventilation can be set at between 0 and 180 minutes. For two speed operation there are two individual inputs to control extended operation, high speed or reduced speed. Operation supervision of circulation pump When the unit has a water heater Corrigo is configured with an output for start and stop of circulation pump. The controller also has an input for supervision of the pump and the pump must be operational when Corrigo has given the instruction to start. If the pump is not operational for some reason the fans are stopped to minimise the risk of the heater freezing. Pump operation failure The circulation pump stops when there is no heating requirement and outside temperature exceeds 6 degrees Centigrade. The pump is exercised once every 24 hours. Frost protection Provides control override on outputs Y1 or Y2 when the temperature falls below the set alarm limit plus 5 K. Below alarm limit the fans are switched off, automatic resetting is optional. DX-cooling Corrigo has two outputs to control start and stop of coolers in up to two steps or three steps binary. Activation delay of outputs for on and off can be set. Operation can be inhibited when outdoor temperature is too low. Cooling recovery If the temperature in the exhaust air falls below the outdoor temperature by a set number of degrees the system switches to recovery mode. Dampers will be set for maximum recirculation. In the case of a heat exchanger this will be set at 100% of capacity. Free cooling The system is started to cool the premises with cold night air if the following conditions are met: (basic settings in brackets) The timer is off and inputs for extended operation are not activated The room temperature exceeds the preset starting temperature (+21ºC) The room temperature is lower or higher than the outdoor temperature by a preset difference. (3K) The outdoor temperature exceeds the preset temperature limit for condensation prevention. (+10ºC) Start up sequence To eliminate problems at start up and to ensure good running-economy even at low outdoor temperatures Corrigo starts up the system as follows: When the timer or input for extended running gives the start signal the exhaust air fan and the heat exchanger start up at full capacity. After preset delay of 1 minute the supply air fan starts up. Running mode - full capacity on heat exchanger(100%), is activated according to preset time after which the system goes over to normal control mode. When operating two speed fans the system starts up as follows: First the exhaust air fan starts with the heat exchanger at full capacity. After preset delay the supply air fan exhaust air starts, 5 seconds later the exhaust air fan starts at full speed (if this running mode is called by the timer or the input for extended running). After another 5 seconds the supply air fan starts up. Efficiency evaluation (models C10 and C20) The temperature outdoors, in the exhaust air and the air from the heat exchanger is measured and the efficiency is calculated. At too low a level of efficiency despite full effect out on the heat exchanger an alarm is given. Outdoor temperature Extract air temp Exhaust air temp Damper exercising Corrigo can also control damper exercising. At a certain presettable time one or more dampers are exercised to monitor their function. This occurs once every 24 hours. If the unit is operational at the time for exercising it will be stopped beforehand. The end point contacts on the damper device signal that the damper is functioning correctly. If operational failure is detected an alarm is given. 7

Communication Corrigo Lon models are prepared for communication by means of the standard protocol LonWorks. All variables present in Corrigo are accessible via communication. External signals from timers and sensors etc can be entered into Corrigo by means of communication. Connection Corrigo has two terminals marked NetA and NetB which are connected to the communication loop. The loop can be up to 500 meters long between end points. Software installation The controller is connected to the network with the help of the SNVT list that is available for each model. The list is based on the profiles and variables recommended by LonMark. The XIF files are supplied with the controller or can be down-loaded from our web-site.
