As a result and for the past 15 years we have integrated the very latest in laser technology, for the welding of sensitive components and cutting of Alumina substrates and Silicon wafers, not to exclude the end-user requirements for machining, drilling, marking and profiling applications. 6 Motion Accuracy is paramount for the laser process especially when it involves intricate shapes and sizes. As a result, Pyramid have teamed up with the renowned Aerotech Corporation to offer the very best in motion technology. These stages offer high performance, high speed and accuracy via sealed linear ball screw stages with integral and slotless servomotors. This system is also complimented with the multi axis digital PC based control package, utilising the versatile Aerotech 3200 software package and intelligent drives with closed loop servomotors and encoders. Firewire communications provides a high-speed non-degrading network across any number of installed axes up to a maximum of 32. With HALAR calibration we can offer stages with an accuracy of better than 1.0 micron. All sizes and configurations are catered for and are easily integrated within our enclosures.

7 Laser technology Our systems are suited for all industry type lasers including the Pulsed nd:yag, CO2, CW and Marking Lasers. We have integrated many different lasers from world leading suppliers such as; GSI Lumonics, Trumpf, Lasag and Rofin. Each laser process depends on its suited laser e.g., fibre delivered lasers for welding and direct beam with nozzle for cutting. We can integrate any laser type from 100W to 2KW, with direct beam or fibred delivery, along with the necessary interface and control within our front-end users software package.
