2 Mosaic Panels for Control Rooms Mosaic panels in control rooms enable a clear visualization of technical plants and processes. Our mosaic panels are custom made according to technical requirements and local conditions. The design of the mosaic panels allows easy adaptation and extension. The mosaic panels are equipped with imprinted mosaic tiles and built-in devices with dimensions according to IEC Devices with special dimensions (monitors, recorders, etc.) can be integrated with the help of mechanical adapters. Single mosaic panels can be integrated in standard cabinets. Although, in most applications for control rooms project specific solutions are necessary. Pro-Plan produces panels in shape and meassurements as required out of aluminum profiles. Therefor, the mechanical construction is very flexible and robust. The mosaic panels are internally wired between the mosaic built-in devices and terminal boards. The terminal boards are the interface for the customer to connect the field cables. The complete hardware design is carried out by Pro-Plan according to the customers specification. 3 Control Room Furniture The furniture layout of control rooms requires special solutions. Each control room is unique and follows the requirements for ergonomic operation and monitoring of the technical processes. Pro-Plan control room furniture is based on screwed aluminum profiles. The design and construction is flexible and also very robust and durable. The desk plates and coverings can be made out of metal sheet as well as wood or MDF. The aluminum construction leads to efficient mechanical integration of equipment inside the operator desks. Hence, mounting plates with installed sockets, 19"-racks or special adapters for PCs, switches, converter or other devices can easily be integrated. The Pro-Plan production of bookshelves, conference tables or cabinets is focused on seismic approved design. 4 Mosaic Systems (Grids and Tiles) Mosaic systems are human-machine-interfaces employed as stand alone control panels or being integrated in control room furniture. The basic structure of a mosaic system is the mosaic grid carrying the mimic and the components. Mosaic systems are especially used in control rooms for process control engineering and network control technology, e.g. all kinds of power stations, traffic supervision, purification plants and building automation. The front of mosaicsystems consists of printed or plain mosaic tiles (mimic) and electric components for operating and signalling such as switches, pushbuttons or indicators. Pro-Plan Gridless Mosaic PGM 24/18 Polycarbonat, fiberglass reinforced, low flammable, self-extinguishing. This static Mosaic system is the most cost effective solution for standard applications. 6 Mosaic Built-in Devices Mosaic built-in devices are electrical modules such as digital displays, switches, pushbuttons or indicators with dimensions according to IEC (superseding DIN 47300). Pro-Plan designs and manufactures mosaic built-in devices according to customer specification for numerous applications. Pro-plan mosaic built-in devices can not only be integrated into Pro-Plan mosaic systems but also into existing mosaic technology from Siemens KW48 und 8RU, Hartmann & Braun, Kreutzenbeck, Subklew und Boyko-Strey.
