National Grid wanted to protect their sites using a thorough but economical method, and turned to a technology based solution. Following an initial site survey, Wireless CCTV was contracted to provide a bespoke proposal for perimeter security. This led to a quantity of the WCCTV Tower systems being installed across the sites. The towers are monitored from a central station, if any movement is detected it automatically generates an alarm back to the control room where an operative can view live video and can pan, tilt and zoom the camera to ascertain what caused the alarm.
