Jacks fit into 6-position snap-in adapter plate in the Tyco Electronics Patch Panel, which enables 24 ports in a 1U space, equaling the density of copper. The jacks also fit into a snapin adapter plate for use in existing rack and wall mount enclosures. Jacks are used with industry standard 250µm and 900µm tight buffered fiber. The MT-RJ workstation jack length has been reduced so that it is now comparable to a copper jack. This feature reduces the possible interference with outlet boxes or furniture raceway systems. It can be re-terminated and is suitable for use with industry standard fiber cable or ribbon fiber innovations. The kit includes a one-piece jack, 110 housing, fiber guide, actuator key, and dust cover. 2 MT-RJ SECURE Optical Fiber Cabling System Tyco Electronics MT-RJ SECURE Optical Fiber Cabling System offers all the features and benefits of the standard MT-RJ System with an extra advantage for network security. Today s facilities often employ more than one network and need a measure of mechanical security to limit access and prevent inadvertent cross-connection. The MT-RJ SECURE Cabling System features molded slots on the plug and molded keys on the latching jack to reduce the chance of unauthorized connections. There are four key-slot combinations - each color-coded - to assist identification of the correct jack. Simply stated, the plug and jack Fiber Optic Products Catalog colors must match or the keying will prevent them from carrying the signal. MT-RJ SECURE plugs will only mate with the same color MT-RJ Secure Jacks. The MT-RJ SECURE components have the same form as the standard MT-RJ products, so they fit into conventional RJ-45 faceplates and patch panel cutouts and use the same installation tools and procedures. Plugs, jacks and cable assemblies are all available for a complete end-to-end solution for your 50-micron, 62.5-micron, XG (850nm LO 50-micron) and singlemode systems. Features include pre-installed cable management, rugged cable entry strain relief, and a sliding, tilt-out drawer for easy termination of tight buffer or loose tube cable. Adjustable mounting brackets allow the user to mount the enclosure in forward, flush or recessed positions.
