8 Logix positioners Logix 500 series Logix 500 series: The Logix 500 series is introduced in 2003 and designed for the single-acting diaphragm actuators. Intrinsically Safe Aluminium housing. Direct mounting (no tubing). Small and light weight. General Purpose. Class 1, Div 2, Groups ABCD and Intrinsically safe. ATEX Ex ia IIC and Ex ic IIC certification. The Logix 500 series family comes in two different models: Logix 510SI (soon 510MD+) Logix 520MD+.

29 Logix positioners ValveSight ValveSight: Flowserve developed supportive software for all the Logix positioners with communication (HART and FF). The use of Logix MD positioners with ValveSight will give the end user the resources to use the Advanced and Pro diagnostics. The Logix MD will provide detailed information which will help making critical maintenance decisions to run the plant more efficient! ValveSight supports FDT/DTM technology which makes it suitable for most Asset Management Systems, like Honeywell, Yokogawa, ABB and Invensys. It will also work with FDT frameworks like Pactware, FDT Container and Fieldcare. Also now- Emerson AMS DTM Launcher Additionally, ValveSight is also available as an Emerson AMS Snap-on, which makes all Logix functionality and diagnostics available in Emerson systems.

32 Logix positioners ValveSight There are two options for ValveSight licenses: ValveSight Basic Free-of-charge software which allows you to do configuration and calibration of the Logix MD series positioner. Also some basic diagnostics like Step Response Test and Ramp Test (Signature) are included in the Basic ValveSight software. ValveSight Advanced By activation the Advanced ValveSight you will have access to the On-Line Predictive diagnostics, Partial Stroke Test, HDRL Test, Data Logger and Trends. Single License - For installation on 2 computers only. Site License - Unlimited installations. The ValveSight software is available for all Logix MD models and can be downloaded from the Flowserve website, or from the Flowserve FTP server. After installation it will automatically activate the Basic functionality. For the ValveSight Advanced you need to enter an activation code in the Upgrade Manager of the ValveSight Basic software. This activation code (license) can be purchased through your Flowserve representative.
