1 UNIVERSAL LIGHTING OFFERS BREAKTHROUGHS FOR BOTH ANALOG AND DIGITAL DIMMING APPLICATIONS SuperDim and AddressPro provide dimming versatility and time-saving convenience

2 SuperDim Analog Dimming Ballasts Offer Versatility And Energy Savings Today s most cost-effective solution for standard dimming applications. Universal Lighting s new SuperDim analog dimming ballasts are the most cost-effective choice for applications where all lamps are dimmed to the same level simultaneously. SuperDim ballasts are designed for T8, T5 and T5 High Output (HO) linear fluorescent lamps and T4 4-pin quad and triple compact fluorescent lamps. SuperDim ballasts are compatible with a wide range of 0 10 volt controls and can be connected to photocells for daylight harvesting. The resulting energy savings makes it easy to adhere to even the strictest energy requirements, including California Title 24 and ASHRAE These versatile ballasts offer programmed rapid start technology for longer lamp life. They also incorporate end-of-lamp-life shutdown circuits, low profile designs and < 10% THD at full bright. Features and Benefits Ideal for T8, T5 and T5HO linear fluorescent lamps and T4 4-pin quad and triple compact fluorescent lamps Dims to 1% for T5 and T5HO lamps Dims to 3% for T8 and compact fluorescent lamps Compatible with most 0 10 volt manufactured controls Daylight harvesting options with photocells for maximum energy savings Programmed rapid start technology maximizes lamp life Low profile design for fixture design flexibility End-of-lamp-life shutdown circuitry ensures safe operation < 10% THD at full bright Universal input voltage ( volts) for installation flexibility

4 With AddressPro, Dimming Flexibility Is At Your Fingertips Change dimming scenes in the palm of your hand...without rewiring. Our AddressPro digital dimming system enables either single or multiple light sources (fluorescent, halogen, incandescent, etc.) to function on the same dimming control circuit. AddressPro then allows those light sources to be individually addressed, grouped in zones and controlled to meet specific dimming needs. AddressPro ballasts are available for a wide range of lamps, including linear T5 and T5HO, linear T8 and a variety of compact fluorescent lamps. Interface modules are available for incandescent and low-voltage halogen light sources. AddressPro makes it easy to control as many as 250 ballasts, which can be separated into as many as 12 zones with 12 unique scenes. AddressPro greatly simplifies the initial wiring of the fixtures and you can make changes at any time without opening a single fixture or touching a single wire! There s no computer required for setup or operation because everything is done with a handheld remote or wall controller. And AddressPro provides architectural dimming levels: to 1% for T5 and T5HO lamps and to 3% for compact fluorescent and T8 lamps. This innovative technology is perfect for applications requiring sophisticated dimming conference rooms, hotel lobbies, restaurants, classrooms and many more. AddressPro ballasts offer universal input voltage for installation ease and programmed rapid start technology for longer lamp life. They also feature endof-lamp-life shutdown circuits, low profile designs and < 10% THD at full bright. THE DIMMING DICTIONARY Zone: One or more fixtures controlled as a group. Scene: A predefined set of light levels for each of the zones. Scenes are used to adjust light levels for specific activities like lecturing, A/V viewing, note-taking, etc. Fade: The transition time applied when going to a selected scene Ȧrea: A group of zones controlled together without affecting other areas. All areas can be controlled globally. 3.

5 Programming Is Quick and Easy Each AddressPro ballast is manufactured with its own digital ID. For initial programming at an installation, AddressPro uses the lamp and a handheld remote to identify a ballast s digital ID and address it into one of 12 available zones. After zones have been set up, as many as 12 scenes can then be programmed to create different lighting environments for the activities performed. If zone changes are desired in the future, simple programming with the handheld remote is all that s required. No wiring changes are necessary. For multi-room installations, areas can be programmed so that individual rooms will have independent control of up to 12 zones each. For some applications, an infrared receiver mounted on the ceiling provides a better communications target for the handheld remote. We have two versions of ceiling-mounted IR sensors available. Plug & Play Convenience If you don t have time for programming, AddressPro comes with four pre-programmed dimming scenes that give you dimming choices instantly. Three-Way Switching Made Easy AddressPro makes it easy to add controls by simply providing AC supply voltage and tapping onto the violet and gray control loop. Up to 10 controls can be connected to a system. AddressPro Controls Wall Stations Universal offers three wall stations with features ranging from simple on/off and up/down control to scene programming and recall functions. The wall stations also have an infrared detector for receiving commands from the handheld remote. Handheld Remotes Universal has three remotes that use infrared communication to make programming and operation a breeze. Ceiling Module Controls We offer two ceiling module control units that are housed in a junction box and have a tethered infrared detector to receive commands from the remote. Wall-Mounted Rotary Switch You can divide a large AddressPro control system into two with our wall-mounted rotary switch. This is useful for applications like ballrooms or banquet rooms where a hinged partition is moved to create two environments. Fixture Layout and Connection Advantage Five separate lead runs from the wall controller are required, creating a complex system to wire and to rewire for changes. All fixtures are connected to the same lead runs. No wiring changes are required to change zones. If an additional wall or ceiling controller is desired, it is simply connected to these same leads. Conventional Dimming Wiring AddressPro Wiring Diagram Key: Each different fixture color represents a zone. Wiring connections represent line, neutral, ground, and two control leads (gray and violet). Features and Benefits Simple to wire all components are connected to same control loop Easy to install, easy to program you can change scenes with no rewiring Lets you control up to 12 areas, and as many as 250 ballasts on one system Up to 12 zones per area allow for maximum lighting control flexibility Ideal for T8, T5 and T5HO linear fluorescent lamps and T4 4-pin quad and triple compact fluorescent lamps with interface modules for incandescent and low-voltage halogen Provides variable architectural dimming to: 1% for T5 and T5HO lamps and 3% for T8 and compact fluorescent lamps Allows for quick and easy 3-way switching Programmed rapid start for longer lamp life End-of-lamp-life shutdown circuitry ensures safe operation Universal input voltage ( volts) for installation flexibility 4.
