2 INTRODUCTION While emergency and disasters are unpredictable and strike without warning, Metropoint is prepared to respond swiftly to any crisis situation. In fact, tenant safety is our highest priority. We regularly review processes and operations to improve the safety at Metropoint and reduce the risk of disaster. In the event of a crisis situation, it is very important that our tenants know how to respond. This quick reference manual contains emergency information and check lists that will assist you during a crisis. We encourage you to review this information to reduce your risk of personal injury or property damage. If you have any questions about how to prepare for a crisis or how to respond to one, please call the property management office at SEVERE WEATHER In the event of severe weather, a warning will be given over the county s civil defense warning system; a series of five minute sirens. Building security also monitors the weather service broadcasting, and should conditions warrant, will notify you of potentially severe weather. For your safety, follow the precautions below: RESPONSE CHECKLIST Move away from the perimeter of the building. It is extremely important to move away from exterior glass during severe weather. Go to the enclosed areas of the building; elevator lobbies, corridors, restrooms, stairwells. If you re in transit between buildings, enter the stairwell and move to the basement for shelter. Wait for the all clear signal before returning to your office. FLOOR LEADER CHECKLIST

3 DO NOT instruct employees to go home during a severe weather warning. MEDICAL EMERGENCIES The Metropoint Security Staff is trained to administer first response and CPR. We encourage each tenant to train a designated number of employees in first aid and CPR. In the event of a medical emergency, please follow the guidelines below: RESPONSE CHECKLIST Call Call the property management office at Provide the following information: Building Name: 600 South Highway South Highway South Highway Ford Road Floor number and suite number Location of the emergency Your name and phone number Have someone meet the emergency units at the elevator lobby on your floor to provide assistance and general information. DO NOT move the injured or ill person. ELEVATOR INCIDENTS Though elevator incidents are extremely rare, it is most important to prepare for them. It s important to remember to stay calm if you are temporarily trapped in an elevator. The Metropoint Staff is prepared to assist you quickly and efficiently. RESPONSE CHECKLIST Press the elevator intercom button once to communicate directly with the security station. Stay calm and speak clearly into the intercom. Provide the following information: Building Name: 400, 300, 600 or 435 Elevator Car Number (located in the elevator near the push button panel) Floor number (if possible) DO NOT leave the elevator car if the elevator stops between floors and the doors open. DO NOT climb or jump to a floor above or below.

4 DO NOT pry the doors open. This may cause equipment damage and could prolong the entrapment of cause injury. POWER OUTAGES The Metropoint Management Team is in close communication with local utility companies. There are times however, when the building utility service can be interrupted due to circumstances beyond our control. In that event, the Metropoint Management Team works directly with the utility companies on your behalf to restore the service. RESPONSE CHECKLIST In the event of a power outage, the emergency generator will operate the following systems: - Public address system - Elevator - Stairwell lighting - Corridor lighting - Lavatory lighting - Fire/Life Safety Equipment Notify the Property Management Office at Listen for instructions issued over the public address system. DO NOT use the elevators. BOMB THREAT Though a bomb threat is a very remote possibility, the Metropoint Management Team has prepared for emergencies of this type with the City of ST. Louis Park Police Department. In addition, building security is trained to safely evacuate the property if necessary. If you receive a bomb threat, please respond in the following manner: Call and the property management office at Provide the following information: - state that you have received a bomb threat. - Building name: 400, 300, 600 Highway 169 or 435 Ford Road - Your company name, floor number and suite number - The name and phone number of the person who received the threat Notify the supervisors in your office. Keep information confidential. DO NOT Touch suspicious objects. Once notified of a threat, this is what will happen: 1. Police are assisted by Metropoint Security with suite location.

5 2. A building search is made by police and bomb squads. 3. Police will question the person who received the threat. 4. A building evacuation may take place. Bomb Threat Questions to Ask 1. 6 FIRE EMERGENCY Metropoint Management Team works very closely with the local fire department to reduce the risk of fire at the Metropoint. State-of-the-art equipment has been installed to protect our tenants from fire hazards. In the remote chance that a fire should begin, follow the procedures below: RESPONSE CHECKLIST Upon discover of smoke or fire, if time permits, activate the fire alarm pull station. Fire alarm pull stations are located next to stairwell doors. Call Call the property management office at Provide the following information: Building name: 600 South Highway South Highway South Highway Ford Road Floor number and suite number Location of fire Your name and phone number Notify your floor leader Evacuate through the stairwells If caught in heavy smoke: - Take short breaths; - Stay near the floor - Crawl toward the exits DO NOT attempt to fight the fire. DO NOT use the elevators. DO NOT re-enter the building until her hear the all clear signal.
