For this reason the functionality, diagrams, descriptions and scope of supply can be modified without prior notification. - As individual countries or states do not permit the concept of an implicit warranty or a liability disclaimer for incidental or subsequent damage, the restrictions and disclaimers may not apply to all customers. Guarantee - The guarantee obligations of ELPRO-BUCHS AG are limited to reworking, reimbursement of the purchasing price, repair free of charge or the replacement of a faulty product that is returned within the guarantee period to ELPRO-BUCHS AG or an approved reseller of ELPRO-BUCHS AG. - There is no obligation to provide on-site customer support by an employee of ELPRO-BUCHS AG. - The guarantee is only applicable to the original purchaser or end user and customer of an approved reseller of ELPRO-BUCHS AG. - Resellers approved by ELPRO-BUCHS AG are not authorized to enter into any extended or different guarantee obligations in the name of ELPRO-BUCHS AG. - ELPRO-BUCHS AG provides a guarantee of 24 months on the following new products: - Dataloggers - Holders - Accessories except probes and third party products - This guarantee is valid for material faults or production faults. - ELPRO-BUCHS AG provides a guarantee of 6 months for the following products and services: - All service work and repair - Temperature sensor - Humidity sensor - ELPRO-BUCHS AG provides a 90 day guarantee that the medium on which the software product is supplied is free from material and processing faults under normal conditions. All main items of the software product comply with the operating instructions and the information in the help file. - The guarantee does not apply to consumables, disposable batteries or any other product that ELPRO-BUCHS AG deems to be: - misused - modified - replaced by an incorrect product - or damaged by accident or operating or handling conditions that are not compliant with specifications. - Wear, cable breakage and corrosion are not covered by the guarantee. - ELPRO-BUCHS AG provides the guarantee period of the manufacturer for third party products. - ELPRO-BUCHS AG only provides a guarantee and customer support for discontinued products for a limited period. - Repair work covered by the guarantee is solely carried out at the works (ELPRO-BUCHS AG) or by an agent approved by the works. - ELPRO-BUCHS AG does not offer any guarantee for the standard or SCS calibration of the dataloggers and probes. The stated data correspond to the situation during the calibration process. Software - The software products of ELPRO-BUCHS AG are subject to internal quality requirements and are validated regularly at the works. In the event of program errors, circumvention of the error is regarded as constituting its elimination. - Software manuals do not contain either instructions on basic operation of a computer or the basic functions of the Windows operating system. For information on the operation of the computer or the operating system please refer to the applicable computer manuals CFR 11 compliance see: Impact of CRF 21 Part 11 on elpromonitor. This document is obtainable from ELPRO-BUCHS AG. dataloggers, sensors and accessories - ELPRO-BUCHS AG applies the highest quality standards during production of the dataloggers and their accessories as well as a certified quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001: For information on operation of the dataloggers and their accessories please refer to the respective product documentation. - During the installation of dataloggers, probes and accessories, compliance with the locally valid installation regulations is mandatory. - When used in potentially explosive atmospheres, the zone category and the application and safety instructions of ELPRO-BUCHS AG must be complied with. - In the event of a guarantee claim, customers receive a repair cost estimate from ELPRO-BUCHS AG to obtain the corresponding consent before starting work. - The customer will bear the transport costs incurred for any repairs carried out by ELPRO-BUCHS AG. The DAP (value added tax) is borne by ELPRO-BUCHS AG. - ELPRO-BUCHS AG reserves the right to invoice the customer for costs incurred for repair/part replacement. - After repair work the product is returned to the purchaser, who will be charged with the return shipping costs (FOB shipping point). 6 BEFORE YOU START 1 Before You Start 1.1 Introduction to elpromonitor This application is used to monitor, display, and archive data of network datalogger sensors (ECOLOG-NET) and to forward alarm messages. Basic Functions The following functions are part of the elpromonitor program: Monitor sensors and log measurement values. Monitor alarms and audit trails System Requirements For details of system requirements, see: SUPPORT CENTER Software Manuals elpromonitor The "ReadMe" file contains information about the latest functions Software Licensing SM3032E elpromonitor Installation Manual 1.2 ECOLOG-NET Dataloggers ECOLOG-NET LH2 ECOLOG-NET LH2 dataloggers are 4-channel dataloggers capable of logging 64,000 measurement values. Temperature and relative air humidity are logged. ECOLOG-NET LP4 ECOLOG-NET LP4 dataloggers are 4-channel dataloggers capable of logging temperatures from -200 C to 600 C. The temperature sensors used are Pt100 sensors in 3- or 4- wire circuits. 64,000 measurement values can be logged. ECOLOG-NET LA8 ECOLOG-NET LA8 dataloggers are 8-channel dataloggers to log 4-20 ma signals. 64,000 measurement values can be logged. ECOLOG-NET LR8 The wireless datalogger system consists of the ECOLOG-NET LR8 wireless datalogger to log up to 8 wireless sensors and maximum 64,000 measurement values. The measurement values are transmitted to the datalogger by wireless. There are a number of different wireless sensors available to log measurement values. 6 - EN elpromonitor

8 STARTING ELPROMONITOR 2 Starting elpromonitor 2.1 Login Login window Start the software by entering your: Username: Password 2 Keep me signed in Session Time Database When this setting is active, you are automatically logged in to elpromonitor when your browser opens. This function can be configured in the elpromonitor database with the appropriate setting. Time after last user operation until elpromonitor logs you out automatically. If "Keep me signed in" is activated, you are logged in permanently. The "Session Time" is defined in the elpromonitor database. To configure the elpromonitor database, see 7.1 Alarm Text Placeholders 2.2 User Interface Start window of elpromonitor The start window is divided into 4 sections. 9 STARTING ELPROMONITOR Usable "Functions" on information in "Details". These functions are described in the sections: Frequently Used Functions, 3 MONI- TOR, 4 DEVIATIONS, and 5 SETTINGS. Information Table This table contains all the information on the function or group selected in the overview column. The information table header: Details relate to the information selected in the overview column. Column Header The usable functions are executed on all, single, or several selected lines at the same time. F The lines can be sorted in ascending or descending order, depending on the content of a particular column. The arrow tips are only displayed after firsttime sorting. Start the sorting procedure by clicking the mouse on the column header. These are functions executed directly on this line. After sorting, the lines are sorted in ascending order by sensor name. You can block the sensors and the related scheduler in the current monitor using the DEACTIVATE. They are not described again in the other explanatory sections in this operation manual. CANCEL CLOSE SAVE The last operation executed is canceled. Closes the current window. Changes to settings are not saved. Changes to settings are verified for feasibility when the window closes. Valid inputs are saved. In all other cases, they issue an error message EN elpromonitor

11 MONITOR 3 MONITOR Overview: MONITOR 6 Data Evaluation Sensor Groups The overview column lists all the available sensor groups. Sensor List The sensor list contains all the sensors belonging to the selected group. The information below is available for each sensor: Sensor name Assigned alarm profile Current measurement value Sensor Limit Profiles 3 Sensor State 3.1 Sensor State Only sensors groups assigned to the corresponding user group are displayed (see elprouser). ANALYSIS ACTIVATE DEACTIVATE 6 Data Evaluation ACTIVATE releases deactivated sensors. Sensors can be blocked in the current monitor using the function: DEAC- TIVATE. The measurement values continue to be logged but are not included in the statistics. No alarms are triggered in the event of threshold violations. Example: Group 1 Example: DEACTIVATED This sensor group is assigned to a temperature and an air humidity sensor. A missing sensor signal caused by maintenance work triggers no alarm if the sensor is deactivated. elpromonitor EN - 11

12 MONITOR 3.1 Sensor State State Priority Retired 1 The sensor is no longer monitored and can not be reactivated. The logged measurement values are not deleted. A "retired" sensor is not deleted from the license list. Deactivated by user 2 The sensor alarm was deactivated by the user. Deactivated by scheduler 3 The sensor alarm was deactivated by the scheduler. No Connection 4 elpromonitor has no connection to the sensor. Sensor Failure 5 The sensor failed (e.g. underflow or overflow). Upper Limit 6 The measurement value is higher than the upper alarm limit. Lower Limit 6 The measurement value is lower than the lower alarm limit. No Data Alarm 6 The alarm does not refer to an alarm limit. Digital Input Alarm 6 The state of the digital input corresponds to the alarm criterion. 3 Upper Limit Warning Lower Limit Warning Low Battery Notification OK 9 All OK. 7 The measurement value is higher than the upper warning limit. 7 The measurement value is lower than the lower warning limit. 8 The state of the sensor power supply is at low battery level. Priority Defines which sensor state is displayed if a sensor has many simultaneous states. Only one of these states is possible at any one time. The states have the same value. Upper Limit Lower Limit The two states are displayed immediately. The alarm is only triggered at the end of the delay time ("Delay"). 5.2 Profiles for Issues All limit values and responses to threshold violations are specified in the SET- TINGS. 5 SETTINGS 12 - EN elpromonitor

13 DEVIATIONS 4 DEVIATIONS Overview: DEVIATIONS The DEVIATIONS menu lists and acknowledges logged threshold violations and alarm messages. The thresholds and alarm conditions used are defined in SETTINGS. A distinction is made between warnings and alarms. When "MustConfirmAlarms" is activated, you are required to acknowledge the error message. The acknowledgment of an error message is logged together with the date, time, and user. To configure the elpromonitor database, see 7.1 Alarm Text Placeholders All error messages detected are listed Filter by Date The duration of error messages listed is limited to indications of the start and end times Search Only the incident belonging to this incident number is listed Include When you select these filters, only the error messages belonging to these filters are added to the incident list. 15 DEVIATIONS System Issues Critical Device Error Internal Error System Issues The I/O module is defective. No new measurement values are logged. Programming error with error message. Functional fault in alarm interface or modem. This is a "System Issue" in the alarm interface and is treated in the same way as a defective datalogger. 4.2 Incident List Consecutive incident number. Every error message is assigned a unique number. Date and time of error message Error message classification 3.1 Sensor State Sensor Name Filters Filters 4.3 Functions ACKNOWLEDGE Use Acknowledge to acknowledge an error message. The process can be given a comment. When the password function is activated in the elpromonitor database, conclude the process by entering your password. 17 DEVIATIONS 4.4 elpromonitor Deviation Reports File Name: Deviation Report_... The Deviation Report contains the measurement value chart of sensors causing an error and the associated Incident Report. 18 SETTINGS 5 SETTINGS Overview: SETTINGS The SETTINGS menu specifies the parameters which the elpromonitor software uses for the current monitoring task. 5.5 Example: Detail View 5.1 Device Settings Users Information table containing details of 5.1 Device Settings Users. DELETE Opens the window to delete the selected item. 5 REPORT 5.6 elpromonitor Settings Report <XXXXXX> All other functions are described in the related sections. 5.1 Device Settings Sensors & Digital Inputs The elpromonitor software can use sensors to detect physical units such as: - Temperature - Air Humidity - Differential Pressure -... or electrical contacts for state monitoring (alarm contact). In elpromonitor, the designation Sensor Group denotes sensors which detect signals and also electrical contacts EN elpromonitor

19 SETTINGS EDIT & ADD NEW SENSOR EDIT \ ADD NEW SENSOR RETIRE Use EDIT to change the parameters of existing sensors. Use ADD NEW SENSOR to define a new sensor for monitoring tasks with elpromonitor. Sensor is permanently retired. No new measurement values are recorded but existing data are not deleted. Sensor Name The sensor must be given a unique name. Sensor State This is an information field which indicates the current sensor state (alarm). This field cannot be changed. Logging Interval After a program restart, the first measurement value is only logged after the first interval. An interval can be specified separately for each sensor. Intervals can be set from 1 to 60 minutes. THE "LOGGING INTERVAL" CAN NOT BE CHANGED LATER. 5 If you require a different interval, delete or retire the sensor and then redefine it. Schedule Profile Use a schedule profile to control the sensor time-dependent for monitoring tasks with elpromonitor. You can select an existing defined profile from the selection list Schedule Profiles Sensor ID Serves to identify a sensor as an additional parameter to the sensor name. Sensor Memo Text field to enter comments. I/O modules Datalogger type to which the sensor is connected. Only a previously configured datalogger from the ECOLOG-NET series can be used as I/O module. I/O Module Channel Measurement channel of the I/O module to which the sensor is connected. Only unassigned channels are listed. Assigned Digital Output A digital output is assigned to the sensor. 20 SETTINGS The profile sets consist of the following information: - Sensor threshold profile - alarm and recipient profile for alarms. - Sensor threshold profile - warning and recipient profile for warnings. - Sensor profile for issues and recipient profile for general sensor failures. 5.2 Profiles for Issues List of existing sensor groups to which the sensor can be added. The sensor must be assigned to at least one sensor group. ADD Adds the sensor of the selected group. Current sensor group to which the sensor belongs. REMOVE Removes the sensor from the sensor group EDIT & ADD NEW DIGITAL INPUT EDIT \ ADD NEW DIGITAL INPUT Use EDIT to change the parameters of existing digital inputs. Use ADD NEW DIGITAL INPUT to define a new digital input for monitoring tasks with elpromonitor The designation Digital Input refers to the elpromonitor software. 2. The electrical connection to the I/O module is referred to as contact input. RETIRE Sensor is permanently retired. No new measurement values are recorded but existing data are not deleted. Digital Input Name The digital input must be given a unique name. Digital Input State This is an information field which indicates the current contact input state (alarm). This field cannot be changed. Logging Interval After a program restart, the first measurement value is only logged after the first interval. 22 SETTINGS Digital Output ID Serves as an additional parameter for identification besides the digital output name. Digital Output Name The digital output must be given a unique name. I/O Modules Selection list for defined number of alarm interfaces used. Watchdog This checkbox activates a watchdog function that issues an alarm as soon as communication between the server and the Alarm Interface is interrupted or the elpromon- ITOR software stops running. Delay Delay time between the time an alarm is logged by elpromonitor and the time the alarm interface is activated. Channel 1 = K1 Channel 2 = K1 On / Off Switchover function during an alarm. TEST SWITCH-ON TEST SWITCH-OFF Test of the 2 relay outputs Sensor Group Sensors and digital inputs can be compiled into virtual groups, referred to as "sensor groups". EDIT \ ADD NEW SENSOR GROUP Use EDIT to change the name of an existing sensor group. Use ADD NEW SENSOR GROUP to define a new sensor group for monitoring tasks with elpromonitor. Sensor Group Name A sensor group must be given a unique name I/O Modules I/O modules are the link between sensors that log system data, alarm annunciators, and the elpromonitor monitoring software. I/O modules may be dataloggers of type: ECO- LOG-NET, or an ELPRO alarm interface. EDIT \ ADD NEW I/O MOD- ULE Use EDIT to change the parameters of existing I/O modules. Use ADD NEW I/O MODULE to define new I/O modules for monitoring tasks with.elpromonitor. I/O modules may be dataloggers of type: ECOLOG-NET, or an ELPRO alarm interface EN elpromonitor

23 SETTINGS I/O Module Name An I/O module must be given a unique name. Memo Text field to enter comments. I/O Module Type ECOLOG-NET 1.2 ECOLOG-NET Dataloggers Parameters: IP address / port number=2101 Alarm Interface There are 2 alarm interface variants available: - Alarm Interface Ethernet Communication between the elpromonitor software and the alarm interface is over the existing network. Parameters: IP address / port number=2101 / I/O Module ID - Alarm Interface USB Communication between the elpromonitor software and the alarm interface is over a USB socket. Parameters: COM Port / I/O Module ID The ECOLOG-NET datalogger ID is the device serial number This information is contained in the product identification of the device state. PING This command checks the network settings of the I/O datalogger and the network connection. The test is ended by an OK or NOK confirmation. 5 elpromonitor EN - 23

24 SETTINGS 5.2 Profiles for Issues Settings for the upper and lower limits, sensor failures, state messages, and alarm delay times are logged for alarm functions and alarm responses in a number of various profiles. EDIT \ ADD NEW PROFILE Use EDIT to change the name of an existing profile. Use ADD NEW PROFILE to define new profiles for monitoring tasks with elpromonitor. These two functions exist in all profiles. The designations and headers used refer to the function: ADD Sensor Limit Profiles This profile defines the upper and lower limits for a sensor. The limits can be used for warnings or alarms. Warning limits should permit a narrower deviation compared with the OK range than alarm limits. 5 Delay Delay in the event of a threshold violation until an alarm is issued. A threshold violation must remain active for longer than the delay time if it is to be logged as an alarm. Sensor Limit Profile Name The sensor limit profile must be given a unique name. Lower Limit Upper Limit Delay Delay time, enter in logging interval steps Sensor Issue Profiles This profile defines the alarm response in the event of sensor failures. The alarms listed below are activated by ticking the checkbox. The sensor limit profile must be given a unique name. Communication between the I/O module used by the sensor and the elpromonitor software is interrupted. The following states are treated as sensor failures: - Value overflow in measurement range - Value underflow in measurement range 24 - EN elpromonitor

25 SETTINGS The battery level of the I/O module used for this sensor is low. This means the battery is almost empty. The battery level is monitored independently of the elpromonitorsoftware. 31 SETTINGS License One license is used for each sensor and digital input. The license continues to be assigned for a sensor in Retired state, i.e. which only exists to display historical data. When a sensor is added, a check is made whether there is a free license. Deleting a sensor will not result in a refund of fees. However, the assigned license is released and can be used for a new sensor. Overview of license information Basic License 50 sensors 5 ADD LICENSE Add additional sensor licenses. Procedure 1. The customer requires additional sensor licenses and reports this requirement to ELPRO-BUCHS AG (Sales), specifying the server license key. 2.
