1 Tips how to use the MAS Web tool Login options User name: operator You can only view data and settings etc (the only Internet option). User name: config You can do settings and view (option on Intranet) There are two modes of operation, View and Setup. Let s first have a look at some of the View functions! 1. Quick Overview First click View and then one of the alternatives on the grey sidebar menu: Click Quick overview. Sidebar menu Quick overview presents the status of all monitored channels in one table. Look in the Status column to quickly check for fault conditions. Remarks on the Quick overview above The Status of Temp stator ph 1 (Pt100 temp measurement of stator temp) is High. (Alarm trip limits in this demo application are set very low: 30 C for High and 55 C for Very high ) High means B-alarm (low priority alarm) indicated by a blinking yellow pane at the top of the screen. Temp 1-3 is used for stator temperature monitoring, normally by using thermal switches. In this case, there is one PTC-thermistor, therefore the present value is 55,6 ohm.

Pump data plate information > Click on the serial number at the top of the screen (shortcut) to quickly see the data plate information (this information is also stored in the Pump memory mounted in the pump). The shortcut links to the page View Pump info Dataplate, containing a selection of information presented on the data plate riveted on the outside of the pump.

3 3. Trend diagram > Click Trend diagrams to present acquired data in charts. Up to three channels can be plotted simultaneously. > Choose channels to plot using the three drop down menus under Monitored channel > Choose Resolution (Minute, Hour, Day are various degrees of average values based on Second). > Share of time frame should be 100% (other selections just limit the time frame). > Click Update to produce the chart.

4 4. Zooming If you wish to study graphs more in detail, zooming is useful. Zoom in Zoom out Restore Update Press left mouse button, hold it down and make a rectangle down to the right over the area to view in detail. Press left mouse button, hold it down and make a rectangle up to the left. Click to go back to the initial diagram. Click to reload data and present chart according to selection of channels, resolution etc. Zoom in Zoom out Untick if curves melt together to reduce the number of displayed graphs tick back whenever you wish.

5 5. Alarm and event log > Click Alarm and event log to present a list of the latest pump alarms and other system events. 6. Alarm and event plot This is a very powerful tool for fault tracing, a bit like the black box used in aircraft. Data for all channels preceding an alarm event are stored and can be plotted. > Click a purple marked alarm event in the Alarm and event log to reach the Alarm and event plot. > Choose up to three channels to plot simultaneously to view data in relation to the alarm. > Click Update to produce the chart. > Resolution Second shows a ten minute period, Minute shows you 4 hours of data.

6 7. Running statistics Running statistics contain histograms and start and stop recordings. > Click Running statistics and choose desired parameter to view with drop down boxes. Interpretation of diagram above 6% out of all running cycles, the pump running time has been in the range 44 to 46 minutes. 17% of the pump running times are longer than 78 minutes. > Click Counters to see the number of starts and accumulated running time since the last time someone pressed Save, to save a counter and start new counters. Compare with the trip meter function of the odometer in a car. Click Save to see how it works!

7 Let s now have a look at Setup functions! Note that do do settings you have to login as config (configurator). If you login as operator, you can only view the settings. 8. Setup of a monitoring channel (requires User name: config) > Click Setup Temp stator ph 3 The different channels are associated with parameters that can be changed from the factory default. Here you find an explanation what the channel is intended for and what it measures. This channel monitors for: High temperature Very high temperature Faults in the wiring or with the sensor: (Warning = yellow alarm indication) (Pump stop = red alarm indication) Short circuit (warning recommended) Broken circuit (warning recommended) > For each alarm Status use drop down menus to set Action priority, Reset option and Delay. > Update is clicked to put settings in effect.
