We are proud of our history in providing Comprehensive Security Solutions Nationwide, enabling us to offer a complete Home Security System with Monitoring and Maintenance packages for our customers. Not all companies who provide alarm systems are qualified to advise, survey, certify or provide a Monitored larm System. Even less are able to provide the high level of Monitoring Service we are accredited to provide for our customers. Sure Protection are policy compliant with over 40 Police Forces nationwide and work within guidelines set by the former ssociation of Chief Police Officers (CPO) now known as NPCC (National Police Chiefs Council). These guidelines are stringently upheld to ensure that compliant Company s within the larm industry act accordingly and at all times. Sure Protection ensures our standards remain within the strict parameters as set by NPCC and to meet the high expectations of our customers. Police U.R.N (Unique Reference Number) Police services will only offer a response to a confirmed alarm signal from a Monitored larm System which has been granted a Police U.R.N (Unique Reference Number), with the aim being to provide an effective response to genuine intruder and panic attack alarms. s a certified installer of Security Systems and in accordance with the NPCC policy, Sure Protection will on behalf of our customers obtain Police U.R.N registration. 7 Frequently sked uestions Why do I need to provide the details of two key holders for my monitored alarm? We require at least two keyholders. Neither of the keyholders can live at the property where the alarm is installed and they must not reside together. It is a requirement that you provide a landline telephone number for your keyholders as well as a mobile number if available. The monitoring centre will contact the keyholder(s) in the event of an activation. How do I change my keyholder details? It s simple. Just call Sure Protection on with your change(s) for each keyholder. s your designated keyholders, they will be contacted if the system is activated. Therefore make sure you tell your keyholders what to do in case they receive a call from us. You need to confirm keyholder change(s) in writing. re there any hidden costs or additional charges other than batteries? Sure Protection uniquely offers a complete all-in-one package. Once your System, Monitoring and Maintenance contract is agreed, there are no hidden charges unlike other providers who charge for each instance e.g. resetting the alarm, engineer call outs etc. Speak to your Security dviser for confirmation of these benefits. Will there be any wires showing? There will be one fixed wire connection to the phone line and one fixed connection to the power supply. The other Sure Protection Devices are wireless. Does my alarm have a Medical button? In addition to our standard installation a Sure Protection Wireless Medical Button can be purchased and installed. It can be purchased as an addition at the time of your initial installation or at a later date, as and when you require. I have been told that no alarm can guarantee a Police response, that alarms are not directly linked to the Police. We provide our customers with a response service via a 24-hour/7 day a week Monitoring Station. larm Systems are not directly connected to the Police and therefore must connect to the Monitoring Station. Where circumstances require Police/Emergency services to attend, it is the duty of the Monitoring Station to contact by the appropriate Emergency Service. My alarm went off accidentally, but I quickly put in the code and shut it off. I thought I might get a call from the larm Receiving Centre, but no one called. Why not? The system allows a brief period for you to cancel a false alarm signal before an alarm signal is presented at the Monitoring Station (also known as an larm Receiving Centre), this process is called uto-bort. This is designed to help avoid false alarms and prevent the waste of Emergency Service resources. If the power goes off, will my alarm system still work? In case of a power loss, the back up battery will provide power to the security system for over the minimum 8 hours as set by guidelines. Does my alarm have a device alerting me to threat of fire, smoke or carbon monoxide risk? In addition to our standard installation, customers can choose to add Sure Protection Smoke & Fire Detector and/or Carbon Monoxide Detectors. Other additional devices that can be purchased at an additional cost are Sure Protection Flood Detector, Perimeter Detector, Shock Detector, Wireless Hold Up larm and/or Multi-Function Remote Controls. These can be installed at the time of the initial installation or at a later date if you choose. What if I have a fault with my system? Due to the advanced nature of our system many faults can be dealt with remotely. We will be happy to investigate any fault you may have with your equipment. Please see the panel of your system for your dedicated service contact number and your Unique Reference Number for identification. I already have an alarm. Can my devices be used with your system? We do not normally use any existing equipment (except cables) for two very important reasons. Firstly they may not be compatible with our system and secondly WE WILL NOT service, repair or replace them within your service agreement.
