4 Airport regulatory environment Both ICAO and the FAA cope with the aerodrome, not the airport Buildings and infrastructure usually comply with local codes & standards or NFPA Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Services (RFFS) focus on aviation accidents and their readiness is somewhat regulated Structural Fire Fighting usually depends on external companies 4
