1 ControlZAPP PROGRAMMABE IGHTIG COTROS Programmable multi-functional energy saving lighting control ControlZAPP is the innovative lighting controls range the freedom to configure the best energy saving solution for your environment. ControlZAPP devices can be configured and programmed by the freely downloadable APP (Android mobile phone or Tablet) by Bluetooth Smart communication (range 0m). Devices can change function at pre-defined times best suited to how the building is used, to maximise energy savings while enhancing safety and security. Easy to install and commission ControlZAPP s innovative and effective energy saving functions can deliver even greater cost savings than conventional stand alone lighting controls and lighting control systems. ControlZAPP devices are easy to install and can be retrofitted using existing wiring or can form part of a new installation. Sophisticated lighting control doesn t have to cost the earth ControlZAPP combines an easy to use interface a stand alone control device. There is no need for a central control hub and no need for specialist commissioning. So costs are kept to a minimum. The result is short payback periods optimised safety and user comfort. Saving even more energy - when and how you want to save it Passive infra-red occupancy switching patented intelligent photocell Switching Only, DAI dimming and 1-V Dimming options ux levels can be changed at different times of day Accurate clock for precise scheduled control Timed O / OFF override Time lag settings from seconds to 24 hours Short visit time lag mode for greater savings OCATIO based sunset / sunrise prediction Automatic Daylight Savings adjustment Suitable for retrofit using existing wiring Suitable for most lighting loads ADROID 48
2 ControlZAPP PROGRAMMABE IGHTIG COTROS Examples of how ControlZAPP can save additional energy by changing function at different times and specific days to suit a building s usage. Example 1. Open office OBJECTIVE: Reduce energy costs by use of stand alone controls ensuring flexibility for change and independent control of s to suit usage. Ensure consistent task based light levels are maintained whilst maximising use of natural light. STRATEGY: Control of dimmable ballasts by ControlZAPP device to maintain consistent light levels through automatic daylight dimming of specific s at specific times to suit usage and available natural light. Use of different time lag strategies according to how the s are used, reducing time lag duration during temporary or transient occupation such as when cleaning staff are working. ower light threshold levels set during off peak periods. Warehouse Storage Aisles OBJECTIVE: Increase energy savings by flexible occupancy based switching and dimming strategies in busy warehouse out compromising safety whilst minimising disruption to the end user. STRATEGY: Control of storage aisles by occupancy switching at all times but work benches where machining tasks take place employing a permanent O lighting strategy during working day then changing to occupancy switching out of work time. All ControlZAPP devices retrofit into existing circuits. Time Day Switching / dimming strategy ux levels Time ag (mins) 07:00 Mon.- Fri. Museum Display Area OBJECTIVE: Optimise lighting O times to suit usage and footfall in main display areas a combination of automatic occupancy based switching and permanent O / OFF settings. o natural light is available and the museum is closed Tuesdays and Sundays and all Bank Holidays. STRATEGY: Timed control changes to suit when the museum is open to the public. 3 ControlZAPP PROGRAMMABE IGHTIG COTROS ControlZAPP is ideal for: Offices and commercial premises ControlZAPP can be set up as an energy saving control through occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting. ight levels can be adjusted to suit usage at specific times of day. For example, higher UX levels during peak work periods and shorter time lags and reduced light levels for auxiliary staff, overnight or weekends. Exceptions such as holiday shut downs and bank holidays can be scheduled. Timed O/OFF switching can be programmed to mimic occupancy for added security during periods of non-occupancy. factories and warehouses uminance level can be set appropriately for peak working hours, while being reduced for off peak periods. ControlZAPP can be retrofitted to control existing light fittings or can form part of a new installation. ights can be overridden O for predetermined times for safety, then set to automatic occupancy switching for off peak, holidays and weekends. Retail and display ControlZAPP has functions to suit front or back of house. Display lighting can be scheduled to switch on at specific times on specific days to suit passing footfall or opening hours. ighting can be controlled by occupancy during shelf stacking periods. ight levels can also be timed to full luminance when required and reduced off peak. Hotels and leisure Maintained light levels occupancy sensing can be achieved reduced lux levels at specific times such as overnight. Ideal for corridors and circulation areas. The result is maximised energy efficiency while maintaining user safety. Shared accommodation Ideal for areas where occupants do not pay the energy bills. Increase energy saving through optimised settings for key usage times. End users cannot interfere settings when device is password protected. Twin level time lag can be set (time which must elapse before switching lights off after last movement detected). This function allows for a shorter time lag if an area is only briefly visited, and an extended time lag for longer occupancy. Education and healthcare Occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting for energy efficiency ability to schedule different settings during holiday periods. ighting in corridors, offices, consulting rooms and foyers can be scheduled to switch and or dim depending on usage. Estates Managers can quickly change settings out the need for recommissioning. Farming and agriculture Apart from its many energy saving features ControlZAPP devices can also offer cost effective but sophisticated timed control of light levels over a 24 hour cycle to mimic rise and fall of natural daylight. This is particularly useful in animal rearing facilities such as poultry sheds where little or no natural light is available. Plus many other applications 50
