2 Purpose This package is put together to provide general information to District Administration, the School board and the public. The information contained is taken from facility prints, engineering data, historical archive data and site visits. It is the intention of the Operations Department to keep this file updated quarterly. Information about the data On each sheet there is a maximum and recommended school capacity. These maximum capacities are calculated by the number of actual classrooms at 21 students per classroom. The recommended capacity is 90% of that number in order to accommodate slight fluctuations in population. This number was used because it is our current mandated teacher-student ratio. It should be noted that classrooms are normally designed for 28 to 30 students. Current enrollment is taken from the 45 day report. There are pervious acreage s listed. This simply means the amount of property that the grounds crews must maintain. The remaining property would have buildings, paving and concrete. Considerations and are the opinions of the Director of Operation after discussions with our consulting engineers, and with District Operations Coordinators. Energy information is taken from the previous full year data. It is evident that each building component has a designed useful life expectancy. It is the recommendation of the Operations Department that as the life expectancy of a component approached the end that it be evaluated and scheduled for replacement before failure due to the fact that component failure would result in a loss of classroom time. To that end the Operations Department has compiled lists of major building components that include the date of installation and designed life time.
