12 All data is compiled 50 days after the end of the month, or the 20 th of the month. For example, we stopped accepting data for this report on November 20. Any errors in this report regarding your department s data or information about your department should be reported to us for continual monthly improvement. Data gathered from 213 of 435, or 49 percent of S.C. fire departments who report monthly, an increase from September where 44 percent reported. To date 205,619 incidents have been reported to SCFIRS from 318 departments. This represents an estimated 48% of all SC incidents. To increase this number and improve analysis of the South Carolina Fire Problem, fire departments are encouraged to send NFIRS reports on a consistent, monthly basis.
