4 IMIC Micro Emergency Power Systems IMIC Micro Inverters are designed for indoor installation in commercial or industrial applications. IMIC will provide emergency AC power to lighting fixtures equipped with incandescent, linear compact fluorescent, or LED lamps, up to 55W. IMIC Series inverter systems are designed to provide sinusoidal AC emergency power to connected incandescent, fluorescent, or LED fixtures between 20 and 55 watts. Surface, recessed, or ceiling T-Grid mount models are designed for easy installation either on or near controlled fixtures. IMIC models support Normally-ON, Normally-OFF, switched operation or any combination thereof. All IMIC systems will provide emergency power output for a minimum of 90-minutes. Self-Diagnostic (SD) Option Our high quality, reliable exit and emergency products are now even easier to maintain when equipped with the Self- Diagnostic (SD) option. SIMKAR s Self Diagnosing option employs a programmed integrated circuit chip to continuously monitor and test the system to ensure proper performance in the event of an emergency. The SD system also automatically performs the required NFPA and NEC code compliant testing of 15-minute battery discharge every 30 days and 90-minute full discharge every 12 months. The SD system automatically recharges the unit s battery and displays a system diagnosis via an LED indicator light. SD also eliminates the physical test of emergency products. Since the LED indicator light provides a visual display, documentation of emergency lighting performance is as easy as a monthly walk through the building. SD is an economical solution to comply with safety codes and ensure emergency preparedness.
