1 Emergi-Lite Orbis detectors Emergi-Lite Orbis brings the latest in fire detector microprocessor technology to the Firetec and Eurofire systems. Non-addressable (conventional) smoke and heat sensors respond to fire situations within a given zone, sending a signal to the fire panel, which will indicate a fire condition and sound the alarm. Orbis provides valuable core features, with high reliability, a marked reduction in unwanted false alarms, complemented by operational and maintenance enhancements. A link feature enables voltage testing of zone wiring before commissioning. The base is a five terminal unit positive IN, positive OUT, Negative IN & OUT, remote LED negative and functional earth (screen) wire. Two fixing centre positions are provided at 51 and 60mm. 2 Emergi-Lite Orbis detectors Optical smoke detector FAPO-OPT The optical detector measures the level of smoke particles using light scatter, going to alarm at a pre-set threshold. New optics help reduce false alarms while stability is strengthened by using internal software control. Recommended for general purpose use to give early warning of fire. The unit is designed as a smoke detector and cannot be switched from smoke to heat detection. This detector is more sensitive to fast burning, flaming fires than the optical model. Ideal for where heat is prevalent at an early stage in the fire. 4 Conventional 4-wire detectors Conventional 4-wire detection: The FAP6 range Introducing the FAP6 range of detectors, for use with the Firetec and Eurofire 4-wire panels. FAP6 provides proven technology in a slim package, the concise range comprises optical and heat detectors (fixed and rate of rise temperature).
