3 Powerful Lighting Control Made Simple and Distinctive Miro is a state-of-the-art wireless lighting controls system that recalls up to 15 recorded scenes per room with the touch of a button. The flexibility of Wireless Miro lets you control the lighting while making a presentation at the front of the room, from a conference table during a meeting, or at the doorway to a room before entering. Scenes can be recalled from a variety of intuitive control devices, including a Touch Screen that can be mounted in the wall, sit table-top in a cradle or be used as a convenient handheld device. Miro is ideal for any space that has varied light level requirements, such as conference rooms, executive offices, restaurants, houses of worship, training centers and hotel suites. Refer to the Miro Specification Guide for details. Touchscreen Control A Touch Screen allows fingertip control of up to 30 lighting groups (zones) and 15 scenes. Touch Screens may be mounted in the wall, sit table-top in a cradle or be used as a convenient handheld device. Programming Wireless Miro does not require any special setup tools or training. 5

6 Restaurants Scene Controller recalls five scenes plus proportional ramping (if extended fade time is desired, use Touch Screen). Two additional Scene Controllers may be added for a total of 15 scenes plus on/off control. 7 Houses of Worship A Handheld Remote allows the service leader to control lights from any point in the room. A Scene Controller at the entrance may be set to recall the same or different scenes as the handheld remote. 8 Conference Rooms Three Dimmers and a Room Scene Controller provide individual group and scene control. The Dimmers may be installed in a closet to simplify operation and reduce wall clutter. Note that all wall-box Dimmers are 120V. The fluorescent lights are connected to a Universal Dimmer set to Advance Mark X operation. 11 Wireless Miro Topdog Communications Wireless Miro uses a revolutionary RF communications layer with a comprehensive protocol technology (Topdog TM ). Via this 900 MHz communications technology (like many cordless phones), Miro creates a wireless control network. And since Topdog is frequency-agile, there s never any interference with other 900 MHz devices. Up to 1000 times faster than traditional power line technologies, Topdog is bidirectional and uses sophisticated errorcorrecting codes to guarantee reliability. Topdog also automatically assigns a unique ID to every installation (or house), so there's no chance of interference from neighboring installations, even in multiresidential buildings. Distributed Intelligence The power is in the network this is the key to understanding Miro s superiority over centrally-wired lighting control systems. With a Wireless Miro system, there s no expensive central panel, no control wiring at all. Users can keep adding to a Miro network over time. Lowest Installed Cost Miro has no control wiring and can be configured and set up by any electrician or integrator. Since there s no reason for factory technicians to visit the site, Miro is easily the lowest total cost, feature-forfeature, when compared with traditional wired systems.
