1 Sangral Soluble Sinclair Sangral fertilisers are readily soluble in water to provide instantly available nutrients for root and foliar uptake. A range of products is available to provide the optimum feed for different crops, growth stages and season. All Sangral fertilisers contain a full range of balanced nutrients including chelated trace elements to make them readily available for use and magnesium for improved leaf colour. Nitrogen sources have been carefully matched to product use; urea is used where foliar uptake is important and high nitrate nitrogen in feeds for flowering and fruiting. Phosphate levels are also matched to plant requirements to avoid trace element lockup. Technical grade components and an internal drying agent ensure formulations remain free flowing and dissolve rapidly in water. They also contain a red dye to enable the fertiliser to be easily distinguishable from plain water. When to use Sangral soluble fertiliser Intensively grown crops require high nutrient inputs to achieve satisfactory levels of yield and quality but in many instances, particularly with containerised plants, it is impossible to provide sufficient nutrients in the base fertiliser to support a crop through its entire life cycle. Supplementary feeding with soluble nutrients is an efficient means of providing the additional requirements. Fertigation, where a continuous supply of nitrogen is applied through a trickle irrigation system with phosphate and potassium supplied in a base fertiliser is useful for field grown vegetables and fruit crops. Nitrogen is rapidly leached through soil and away from the root zone, especially of shallow rooted crops. The amount of nitrogen applied can be accurately geared to plant demands and minimise leaching losses. Foliar feeding is valuable when crops are unable to take up sufficient nutrients through inadequate root activity. Sangral 1:1:1 and are particularly useful for this purpose. High nitrogen soluble fertiliser can also be used for a rapid greening of fine turf. The response to nitrogen in Sangral is improved by the inclusion of low rates of other nutrients, especially phosphate. 2 Sangral MgO+TE Use for vegetative growth phases in longer days when light intensity is high and plants are growing quickly. Suitable for both soil and container grown crops. Sangral MgO+TE Ideal for overhead foliar/root feeding of soil grown glasshouse crops such as lettuce and celery where supplementary nitrogen is required. Also useful where a growth boost is required in any freshly planted intensive crop. First choice for fertigation of outdoor vegetable and fruit crops. Also ideal to promote balanced growth of fine turf. Sangral MgO+TE The high potash ratio makes this the ideal feed for flowering and fruiting growth stages. High nitrate nitrogen also makes this the preferred choice for all winter growth stages. Sangral MgO+TE Use to satisfy the high potash demand during heavy fruiting stages of tomatoes, strawberries, etc. It provides high levels of extra magnesium to reduce the deficiences which occur at this growth stage, High nitraten encourages calcium uptake. Use for winter growth control in vegetable transplants. Also suitable for ornamentals propagation. Sangral 1:1: MgO+TE A high concentration feed which is ideal to take plants through stress periods. The high urea content makes this feed particularly effective and safe as a foliar feed. 25
