RE-ENTRY INTERVAL: Do not enter treated area within 1 day after treatment unless wearing protective clothing. Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions the registration holder does not warrant that it will be efficacious under all conditions because the action and effect thereof may be affected by factors such as abnormal soil, climatic and 2

3 storage conditions; quality of dilution water; compatibility with other substances not indicated on the label as well as by the method, time and accuracy of application. The registration holder furthermore does not accept responsibility for damage to crops, vegetation, the environment or harm to man or animal or for lack of performance of the remedy concerned due to failure of the user to follow the label instructions or to the occurrence of conditions which could not have been foreseen in terms of the registration. Consult the supplier or registration holder in the event of any uncertainty. PRECAUTIONS Avoid inhalation of spray mist. Wear face shield and protective clothing (overall, rubber boots and gloves). In case of contact with eyes, wash with running water for 15 minutes. Wash with soap and water after accidental skin contact. Do not eat, drink or smoke while applying or before washing hands and face and change of clothing. Prevent drift onto other crops, grazing, desirable vegetation, rivers, dams or any other areas not under treatment. Prevent contamination of food, feed, seed, fertilizers, other agricultural chemicals, drinking water and eating utensils. Immediately after SUNNY* 50 SC application, the spray equipment must be thoroughly cleaned to prevent contamination of subsequent applications. Rinse empty container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10 % of that of the container. Add the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank before destroying the container in the prescribed manner. Destroy empty container by perforation and flattening and never use for any other purpose. SYMPTOMS OF HUMAN POISONING: May irritate the eyes and skin. FIRST AID TREATMENT: Remove from source of exposure. Wash affected area. - Eye and skin contact: Flush eyes with water for 15 minutes after eye contact. - Wash with soap and water after skin contact. - Should irritation of skin or eyes persist, consult a physician. - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Assist breathing it necessary. Get medical attention. - Ingestion: Wash out mouth. Give a spoon of activated charcoal in a glass of water. Get medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: - Treat symptomatically. 3

4 USE RESTRICTIONS Before using SUNNY* 50 SC consult an adviser. SUNNY* 50 SC may only be used on healthy avocado trees which are not under stress. At present, SUNNY* 50 SC may only be used on avocado cultivars FUERTE, HASS and PINKERTON. Do not use SUNNY* 50 SC for any purpose or on any crop other than listed on this label. GENERAL INFORMATION SUNNY* 50 SC is a plant growth regulator which acts by influencing gibberellin production. The major effect of SUNNY* 50 SC when applied at flowering on avocados is the enhancement and improvement of fruit shape. An improved fruit size distribution and yield improvement are often associated with the use of SUNNY* 50 SC. SUNNY* 50 SC applied after mid-summer pruning when vegetative re-growth is between cm long provides suppression of vegetative growth. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS Shake container well before use. Close container securely after use. Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and whilst constantly agitating add the required amount of SUNNY* 50 SC. Thereafter add 2 % of UP 50 foliar feed or a registered anoinic wetting agent at 0,05 %. Fill the spray tank to the required level with water. Ensure vigorous agitation of the mixture in the tank during mixing and spraying. Thoroughly flush out spraying equipment after use and dispose of wash water in a safe manner. NOTE: ph of Spray Water The efficacy of SUNNY* 50 SC may be reduced by very hard water (> p.p.m. solutes) and by water with a high ph value. When SUNNY* 50 SC is used, the optimal efficacy thereof will be obtained in water of ph 4,5-5,5. Water of a higher or lower ph than 4,5-5,5 should be buffered to ph 4,5-5,5 by using CURABUFF 500 SL (Reg No L4731). Where CURABUFF 500 SL is used to adjust the ph of the water, the CURABUFF 500 SL must be mixed with the total volume of water required for that particular tank mixture before adding the SUNNY* 50 SC. Use the spray mixture without delay and do not allow to stand for prolonged periods. 4

NOTE: *1. Actual dosage will depend on factors such as uniformity of flush, tree vigour, etc, and growers must consult an adviser on this. 2. Use SUNNY* 50 SC only on healthy avocado trees, which are not under stress. 3. 7 Alhoewel hierdie middel omvattend onder n groot verskeidenheid toestande getoets is waarborg die registrasiehouer nie dat dit onder alle toestande doeltreffend sal wees nie aangesien die werking en effek daarvan beïnvloed kan word deur faktore soos abnormale grond-, klimaats- en bergingstoestande; kwaliteit van verdunningswater; verenigbaarheid met ander stowwe wat nie op die etiket aangedui is nie sowel as die metode, tyd en akkuraatheid van toediening. Verder aanvaar die registrasiehouer nie verantwoordelikheid vir skade aan gewasse, plantegroei, die omgewing of vir nadelige effek op mens of dier of vir n gebrek aan prestasie van die betrokke middel as gevolg van die versuim van die gebruiker om etiketaanwysings na te kom of as gevolg van die ontstaan van toestande wat nie kragtens die registrasie voorsien kon word nie. Raadpleeg die verskaffer of registrasiehouer in die geval van enige onsekerheid. VOORSORGMAATREËLS Vermy inaseming van spuitnewel. Dra n gesigsmasker en beskermde klerasie (oorpak, rubber stewels en rubber handskoene). In geval van oogkontak, spoel oë vir 15 minute met lopende water. Was met seep en water na toevallige velkontak. Moet nie eet, drink of rook tydens vermenging of toediening en alvorens gesig en hande gewas en skoon klere aangetrek is nie. Voorkom spuitstofwegdrywing na ander gewasse, weiding, gewenste plantegroei, riviere, damme of enige ander gebiede nie onder behandeling nie. Voorkom besoedeling van voedsel, voer, saad, kunsmis, ander landbouchemikalieë, drinkwater en eetgerei. Onmiddellik na toediening van SUNNY* 50 SC moet spuittoerusting deeglik skoongemaak word om besoedeling van toekomstige toedienings te voorkom. Spoel die leë houer drie keer uit met n volume water gelykstaande aan n minimum van 10 % van die houer. Gooi die spoelwater by die inhoud van die spuittenk voordat die houer op die voorgeskrewe wyse vernietig word. Vernietig leë houer deur gate daarin te maak en plat te druk en moet nooit vir enige ander doel gebruik nie. SIMPTOME VAN MENSLIKE VERGIFTINGING: Mag oë en vel irriteer. NOODHULPBEHANDLING: - Verwyder persoon van bron van besmetting, en was besoedelde vel. - Oogkontak: Spoel oë vir 15 minute met lopende water. - Velkontak: Was vel met seep en water na velkontak. - As irritasie van die oë of vel voortduur, raadpleeg n dokter. - Inaseming: Verwyder na vars lug, verleen bystand met asemhaling en kry mediese hulp. 7

8 - Inname: Spoel die mond deeglik uit. Laat die persoon 1 lepel geaktiveerde houtskool en n glas water inneem. Kry mediese hulp. Moet nooit enige iets per mond ingee indien die pasiënt bewusteloos is nie. NOTA AAN GENEESHEER: - Behandel simptomaties. GEBRUIKSBEPERKINGS Voordat SUNNY* 50 SC gebruik word moet n adviseur geraadpleeg word. SUNNY* 50 SC mag alleenlik op gesonde avokadobome wat nie onder stres verkeer nie, gebruik word. Op die huidige tydstip mag SUNNY* 50 SC net op avokado kultivars FUERTE, HASS en PINKERTON gebruik word. Moet SUNNY* 50 SC nie vir enige doel of op enige gewas anders as gelys op hierdie etiket gebruik nie. ALGEMENE INLIGTING SUNNY* 50 SC is n plantgroeireguleerder wat gibbereliensuur sintese beïnvloed. Die hoofeffek van SUNNY* 50 SC toegedien tydens blom op avokados is die bevordering en verbetering van vrugvorm. Die gebruik van SUNNY* 50 SC gaan dikwels gepaard met n verbeterde vruggrootte-verspreiding en oesverbetering. SUNNY* 50 SC wat na mid-somer snoei toegedien is, sodra vegetatiewe hergroei tussen cm lank is, verskaf onderdrukking van vegetatiewe groei. MENGINSTRUKSIES Skud houer deeglik voor gebruik. Maak styf toe na gebruik. Maak die spuittenk halfvol met skoon water en terwyl daar gedurig geroer word, voeg die verlangde hoeveelheid SUNNY* 50 SC by. Voeg daarna 2 % UP 50 blaarvoeding of n geregistreerde anioniese benattingsmiddel teen 0,05 % by. Vul die spuittenk met water tot by die verlangde volume. Dra sorg dat die mengsel in die spuittenk voortdurend tydens meng en bespuiting geroer word. Spuittoerusting moet na gebruik deeglik uitgespoel word en raak ontslae van spoelwater op n veilige manier. LET WEL: ph van Verdunningswater SUNNY* 50 SC se doeltreffendheid kan benadeel word deur baie harde water (> d.p.m. opgeloste stowwe) en deur water met n hoë ph-waarde. 8

9 Wanneer SUNNY* 50 SC gebruik word sal die optimale werking daarvan in verdunningswater met n ph van 4,5-5,5 verkry word. Verdunningswater met n hoër of laer ph-waarde as 4,5-5,5 moet gebuffer word met CURABUFF 500 SL (Reg Nr L4731) tot by ph 4,5-5,5. Wanneer CURABUFF 500 SL gebruik word om die verdunningswater te buffer, moet die CURABUFF 500 SL eers met die totale volume water wat vir die betrokke tenkmengsel benodig word, gemeng word, en daarna word die SUNNY* 50 SC bygevoeg. Aangemaakte spuitmengsels moet nie in die spuittenk gelaat word vir n onbepaalde tydperk nie, byvoorbeeld oornag. 9

Werklike dosis sal van faktore soos uniformiteit van nuwe groei, boomgroeikragtigheid, ens., afhang en kwekers moet n Philagro adviseur hieroor raadpleeg. 2. Gebruik SUNNY* 50 SC alleenlik op gesonde avokadobome wat nie onder stres verkeer nie. 3.
