For the most part it just lists the many different plants that can be transformed into Bonsai with a very superficial outline of care, trimming, potting, and a few other basic items. The book is more of a pamphlet with no significant diagrams or particularly useful information. A few very good and helpful books are available for just a bit more money. You will need to by a more detailed book anyway because this book will not help you care for or even keep your Bonsai alive. I was really disappointed with this book for three reasons:1. Content - The book provides hardly any

3 actionable information for people looking to get a bonsai. The content is so thin that I have few ideas of where to start, except perhaps to purchase another book.2. Errors - The book is full of grammatical and spelling errors. I would be amazed if the author had anyone proof-read it... and I got so distracted by the mistakes that I could barely focus on the weak content.3. Book Quality - I realize the book is inexpensive, but the print quality was terrible. The publisher used an ink-efficient font (if you look closely you can see little white holes inside each character. This makes the text a bit more "muddy", and made it difficult to read under all but the best lighting conditions. Most paperbacks have a much higher quality at a similar price-point.as a side note, I'm amazed at how many positive reviews there are for this book... If you read the 5 star reviews you can tell that many of them have never read the book (one mentions the great pictures, which are non-existent). It's clear the author's friends and family have chimed in, sadly most of them didn't bother actually reading the book first. One star. This book basically lists the types of plants that you can bonsai, lists some basic tools you would need to care for them. This does not go into any sort of explanation on technique. I was dissapointed when I received this book. There are 3 generic black and white photos at the beginning of some of the chapters. Would not recommend. Only 3 picture in the entire book, those three picture are of a bonsai at the beginning of the chapter.this is like reading a book on learning photography for beginner without any picture of the procedure or equipment.more like an introduction to bonsai, no picture needed.this would have been better in kindle format, at least I can return it instantly."bonsai(101 Essential Tips)" is a better book, loaded with picture on each page. This book provides only basic information. Watching a few YouTube videos on the topic would be equivalent of reading this book.a lot of typos; no illustrations, which are important in a book that describes a practical physical hobby as bonsai.even the front cover is ridiculous, the trunk being chopped in the middle. The book is way overpriced for such a simple Little book. I spent half the price on another Bonsai book and got so much more information in it. Save your money, buy something else. This is really more of a pamphlet than a book. It is very short and consists mostly of a long list of

4 plants that make good bonsai plants. I was very disappointed. This book seems as if it was written for elementary school students. I don't think an editor looked it over either. Not high on my list of recommendations.
