2 2 SHOW BY-LAWS 1. ENTRIES CLOSE WITH THE SECRETARY, MRS P EDWARDS, POST OFFICE BOX 50, KALAMUNDA OR THE BOX AT THE KALAMUNDA LIBRARY, AT 5PM ON TUESDAY, 16 TH OCTOBER Entry Fees: 50 cents per entry or unlimited entries for $5. Children s entries free. 3. All exhibits to be grown by the exhibitor, except in Informal Floral Art and Children s sections (unless otherwise specified). 4. EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE STAGED BETWEEN 7.00AM AND 9.30AM ON SATURDAY 20 th OCTOBER. 5. The judges shall not give any award to any exhibit not in accordance with the schedule and shall withhold any award to any exhibit not considered worthy. The judges decision is final. 6. Points will be awarded: 3 for 1 st prize, 2 for 2 nd prize and a further 3 for Champion, or 2 in the case of Best Exhibit. In the event of a tie the winner will be on a count back of the most 1 st prizes. A minimum of 8 points for trophies. (Excepting children s sections). 7. Every care, but no responsibility will be taken by the Society for loss or damage. 8. All exhibits of cut flowers become the property of the Society and may be disposed of as the Committee directs. 9. Exhibitors may use the Society s vases or bowls or may use their own. 10. Hanging baskets may contain one or more plants of the same species. 11. DANGEROUS OR DISEASED EXHIBITS. SHOULD THE SOCIETY HAVE ANY REASON TO SUSPECT THAT ANY EXHIBIT IS DANGEROUS OR OBJECTIONABLE, IT MAY HAVE SAME REMOVED FROM, OR REFUSE ITS ADMISSION TO THE HALL. 12. WHERE NO OTHER DIRECTION IS GIVEN IN THIS SCHEDULE, JUDGING SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STANDARD LAID DOWN BY THE WA HORTICULTURAL COUNCIL. Any exhibitor failing to do this or allowing any parent or friend to assist in arranging exhibits may be disqualified. (Please note that flowers must be in water or in a moist medium, e.g. oasis or wet sand). Classes 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 must have been grown by the exhibitor. 7 YEARS AND UNDER 1.
