3 Parasites in all animals Big and Small Ok folks, I know that I always talk about the deworming issue. Now is the prime time and the perfect scenario of events to get you to pay a little closer attention to your animals. With a surplus of rain, the grass is growing, the parasites are on the move. The result is that our animals are going to needs our help. Pay attention to their eating habits and their bathroom breaks. And remember, you will not see the worms only the difference in your animal s behavior. We are in the Fall season and is the better time to attack the tape worms in our horses and other grazing animals. If you are not sure consult your vet, otherwise we carry the items that you need and can answer most of your questions. Many of you are coming in with issues of flies, fleas, ticks and even rats. The pests are really bad right now and are getting worst with the wet weather. We can help with ALL of these issues. Stop by and let us help. We have some GREAT new items for the Fly and Rodent problems. When we talk about the heat and proper hydration, there are many aspects to that thought process. Cooling, muscle cramping, proper nutrition, non-sweaters, mineral balance and intake, and even the low starch diets. All of this depends on the animal and his situation. No reason for worry, just take normal maintenance steps and be wise. We can help with many of these concerns with many different animals. We discuss the horse s hoof and coat condition and care. There are many factors in this equation. With moisture as a main factor in the equations, let us help answer these questions for you. In severe cases, we should always consult our farrier or vet.
