1 Sony Full HD Blu-ray Matching 5.1-channel Audio Systems HT-SF2300, HT-SS2300 and HT-IS100 HT-SF2300 Hong Kong, July 11, Sony takes high definition home entertainment to a new level with the launch of the Full HD Blu-ray matching 5.1-channel audio system series, including the HT- SF2300, HT-SS2300 and HT-IS100. Combining the latest technologies with stylish designs, these three new models are specially created to match Blu-ray Disc players, PLAYSTATION 3 and other high-definition sources for a true Full HD experience. The HT-SF2300 and HT-SS2300 are 5.1-channel home theatre systems that deliver a powerful audio output of 1000W from five stylishly designed speakers and a subwoofer. In addition to multi-channel linear PCM, both models integrate Dolby Digital, Dolby ProLogicII and DTS Decoding to bring stunning sound effects for a superb home theatre experience. The breathtaking sound effects are complemented by amazing picture quality. Both models reproduce life-like images in vivid colours and the most natural tones thanks to x.v.colour, which enables realisation of a wider range of colours at approximately twice that of conventional standards (srgb). Using three HDMI inputs with repeater functionality to connect to a BRAVIA LCD TV and Blu-ray disc player, the systems can upscale standard DVDs to 1080p resolution and give them superb colour, sharpness and visual impact on the screen of any sizes. 1

2 Home theatre enthusiasts will appreciate the world standard 24fps output created by the 24p True Cinema mode, which brings the movie-like picture quality to home when the system is connected to a movie source such as the Blu-ray disc player. Sony s Digital Cinema Auto Calibration (DCAC) simplifies surround sound setup with an included microphone to automatically adjust speaker frequency, distance and level. The systems can play back music stored on portable audio devices when using the Digital Media Port with various optional accessories, including the optional cradle for ipod players (TDM-iP10), Network Walkman player audio cradle and Bluetooth adapter. The Portable Audio Enhancer (plus) improves the clarity and depth of digital audio devices connected to the systems by adding information to the audio signal that had been removed during compression. HT-IS100 Sony understands that space is often at a premium in modern homes. Designed with five incredibly small speakers roughly the size of a golf ball, the new 5.1 channel system HT-IS100 delivers a rich surround sound experience that can be easily integrated into a home theater. With 450 watts (RMS) of power, the system includes a subwoofer with integrated 32-bit S-Master digital amplifier for superb audio performance. The HT-IS100 includes three 1080p HDMI inputs with repeater functionality and support for eight channels of uncompressed audio. It is an ideal complement for Sony Blu-ray disc players and PLAYSTATION 3.
