We challenged them to redefine the possible and design and produce the very best affordable loudspeakers the world has ever known. The multiple awards and ecstatic reaction from the world s press confirmed our belief that the Q Acoustics design team achieved this monumental objective and the original 1000 Series loudspeakers represented unequalled sonic performance in their class. Q-AV - Simply cleverer In 2007, we asked them to redefine the possible once again. This time we wanted a world-beating Style home cinema speaker package. One which delivered a Conventional 5.1 Home Cinema System truly outstanding and all enveloping home cinema and musical experience, but which didn t intrude into the living space, and like other Q Acoustics models, be extraordinarily affordable. Impossible? Not for Q-AV Q Acoustics brilliant design team have clearly achieved the seemingly impossible. To attain the exceptional level of performance we demanded, they embraced NXT* technology and developed bespoke BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) drive units. 3 QAV_brochure1_v5:Layout 1 23/10/07 19:07 Page 4 How do BMR Drivers help? Advanced BMR drivers have a number of advantages over BMR Driver conventional loudspeakers. Needless to say, like any very high quality loudspeaker, they produce excellent, dynamic, low distortion sound. However, BMR drivers produce this sound from much smaller cabinets than conventional speakers and also boast an Ultra-Wide sound-field. This means listeners can enjoy full home cinema sound from these speakers, anywhere in the room and not just in the best seat as with ordinary speakers. Conventional Driver Disappearing speakers - now that s clever! Uniquely, the front left, centre and right channel speakers (LCR) fit any flat-screen television (from 37 to 50 screen size). The LCR speakers are fitted to a telescopic frame **, which can also be attached to a universal table stand or wall bracket. The frame extends or contracts until the LCR speaker perfectly matches the width of the television. The frame also adjusts forwards and backwards, until it again matches the television. When all the adjustments are made, the speaker disappears because it simply looks as if it is an original part of the TV even the badge is magnetic, for easy removal. *NXT is a trademark of New Transducers Limited **Patent pending LCR adjusts to fit LCD/Plasma TVs

6 QAV_brochure1_v5:Layout 1 23/10/07 19:08 Page 7 Q-AV Rear Speakers Their ultra-wide sound-field allows the stylish BMR rear speakers to be positioned unobtrusively, close to the floor, or up high near the ceiling. The design allows for the speakers to be easily fitted even if skirting board or coving is present. The speakers can also be used free-standing with the supplied support. The intelligent design of the rear speakers means that speaker cable can be routed along the skirting board or coving, especially useful when it is not possible to run cables through walls. Mounting options The LCR speaker can either be mounted direct to the wall (bracket supplied as standard), or for ultimate flexibility, attached to the optional Table Stand or Cantilever Bracket. Q-AV is the first LCR speaker that rotates with your screen to optimise home cinema performance. The extremely powerful 120 watt Q-AV subwoofer is perfectly matched to the BMR surround speakers and delivers absolutely seamless music or movies. But where is it? The living room friendly Q-AV subwoofer is available in black or white. Designed to be wall-mounted (but can stand on its supplied feet if required), it looks more like a modern heater or radiator than a subwoofer. 5.1 Speaker Package Contains LCR speaker, 2 rear speakers and subwoofer. 3.1 Speaker Package Contains LCR speaker and subwoofer. OPTIONAL Cable Management An elegant solution enabling all LCR and screen cables to be routed to skirting/floor level. Multi-sectioned wall moulding for separation of mains and signal cables with snap-on aluminium finish front cover. Available in two lengths that can be cut to the required size. IR Pass Through Module A discreet module which can be attached to the underside of the LCR bracket to send and receive IR commands. Electronic equipment can then be conveniently located out of sight. Pack contains IR module, flood emitter, and plug-top power supply.
