ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION: This is a 1-1/2 story center chimney Colonial Cape Cod house, five bays wide, with a 1-story wing. According to the present owner it was altered about 1990 when the six front-gable roof dormers (three front, three back) were added and the back wall was extended about eight feet under an extension of the main roof to give the house the present saltbox form. First floor windows are all wood 12/12 in their original openings with wood storms. Second floor windows are all 6/6 wood windows. The front entrance door is wood with 6 flat panels typical of the period and possibly original. The door surround has narrow projecting pilasters with crown moldings, a 4-light transom window, and a narrow projecting cornice. Corner and frieze boards on the house are narrow as are the window casings. Windows are capped with splayed lintels. The siding and roof are wood shingled. The stone foundation extends under the wing, which is set back halfway from the front of the house. The wing has a centered entrance door and single window consisting of a large multi-pane fixed sash, not original. The square brick chimney has a band of corbelling at the top.
