3 INTRODUCTION An introduction to Nova History Nova Outdoor Living was founded January 14th Nova spent 40 years trading and developing innovative garden furniture as one of the powerhouses in the outdoor living industry. Nova was famous for its aluminium garden furniture and garden furniture cushions becoming extremely successful in this field even building up a renound profile for innovation after achieving worldwide firsts such as developing the first all cast aluminium recliner. Sadly, due to the previous director retiring Nova decided to close the business and cease trading on November 19th In 2016, Nova opened its doors once more under new management and began focusing on new areas of garden furniture including traditional rattan furniture, and newer materials such as outdoor fabric. Future Director s Note The new NOVA is now a modern company and totally different to the NOVA of old. We have adopted modern technology to offer customers live stock info, online ordering, bespoke furniture design offers, up to the minute product design, mail order packaging, high quality in store POS, full hi-res photo library for each set along with content for online platforms. We will ensure NOVA has everything a buyer requires plus ideas they didn t know that they needed but after using will never be without again. - James Whiteley, Managing Director. James Whiteley Nova Outdoor Living is now not only known as innovators and developers of garden furniture but is now also a wholesale business, offering their top-quality products to other businesses around the UK. Looking to the future of Nova the plan is to reintroduce some of the historic best sellers and bring through a NOVA Classics range that will give trade buyers the chance to remember why they loved NOVA. The range will not be huge and will only consist of roughly 10 different items but will create an impact when the buyers see these old designs once again. Nova intends to use the history to pull at buyers and communicate the strength of the brand once again, bringring collections through such as NOVA Retro, NOVA Classics, NOVA Unique, NOVA Originals, NOVA Untouched etc. Each operating in a different design pool for different buying styles. 3

4 MATERIALS Materials & Packaging Finest Materials Nova Outdoor Living only uses the finest materials to produce top quality garden furniture. Our furniture frames are all crafted using powdercoated aluminium to prevent rust. Our rattan weave uses the finest HDPE materials and for our accessories and parasols we use strong aluminium and FSC Hardwood. We are proud to offer warranties of up to 7 years, on selected ranges, to offer peace of mind and ensure quality. Rattan Weave Our rattan weave is designed to be incredibly durable and weatherproof. We offer a range of 7mm flat weave and a range of 6mm half round weave. Our half round weave comes with an extended 7 year warranty, but our flat weave, though cheaper, is equally durable offering a 5 year guarantee. Flat Weaves: Brown Grey Oyster Oxley Half Round Weaves: Our rattan weave is tested to ensure it withstands 40 heat and -20 temperatures, ideal for the British climate. Mail Order Packaging White Wash Willow Oxley We have designed all of our own packaging to ensure your furniture and accessories are protected by suitable materials to keep your items safe during transit. This is designed to leave you safe in the knowledge that your furniture can travel from one end of the country to the other and arrive safe and sound in perfect condition. For our smaller items, our box designs aim to offer relevant information and instructions on how to use the products as well as act as a handy place to store items. Truly guaranteed against the elements, these fabrics can be left outside all year round, even in the harshest weather conditions. How Does This Work? We use an advanced high-performance foam that is designed specifically for outdoor cushions and furniture. The porous open-cell structure allows water to drain rapidly and fresh air to circulate freely. After a heavy downpour, followed by good weather conditions, the furniture is ready to use within the hour. Care Instructions Cleaning your outdoor fabric furniture is a breeze thanks to the special Sunbrella fabrics and maintenance free aluminium frames. For minor spills simply use warm water and a sponge to clean the surface of the furniture. For more stubborn stains, or stains that have been left to dry, consider using a mild soap or fabric cleaner in a bucket of warm water. We recommend using a soft bristle brush to work the dirt loose. Create a cooling area of shade and protection from the sun over your dining or lounge area. All of our parasols are simple to use, easy to put up and require minimal effort to open and close. The wooden parasols use a single pulley system, the aluminium parasols use a crank & tilt mechanism and the cantilever parasols have a crank handle and quick release pin to adjust the angle of the parasol. If you re looking for something to accompany your dining table and go through the centre of the table we recommend a wooden or aluminium parasol. If you need something to accompany your sofa set we recommend ta cantielver parasol.
