2 About the company CALMA is one of the Spain s best known names in contemporary furniture. It was set up in Catalonia in 2004 and since its inception has kept in tune with changing styles and needs but without having constantly to re-invent itself. Located in Empordà (Catalonia), the region where creative geniuses such as Dalí and Muntaner were born, the brand gets inspiration from its own DNA and roots, benefiting therefore from being part of the multifaceted Mediterranean world. Always exploring new possibilities and differentiating values, they have developed a peculiar approach to outdoor design based mainly on good quality, avant-garde, simplicity, comfort and functionality. Furnishing items are therefore distinctive but not because they are way-out or gimmicky, rather because they have an effortless, restrained elegance. Cutting-edge technology and materials, most of them made in Spain such as the TPB (top-resistance porcelain-ceramic surfaces), stay at the core of every business project. CALMA s collections encompass a wide choice of styles and products (seating, tables, sun loungers and sunshades) that can be configured in different ways and sizes in order to fit perfectly different types of patios, gardens or balconies. CALMA shows at the major international trade fairs, such as the Maison & Objet in Paris, Spoga+Gafa in Cologne and Il Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan. 2

In addition to providing protection from sun, it imparts an inviting sense of place as it has been specifically created to shield, chill out, entertaining or even work. Thanks to a clever mechanical locking system, the horizontal opening of OM can be blocked at different angles so that the canopy can acquire different aesthetic configurations: the tense one, with a more conventional image, and the wavy one, inspired by the typical sun shades from Ibiza. When the canopy is closed, a simple mechanism allows a 360 rotation of the canopy creating a vane effect when the wind blows. 4

The structure is in extruded aluminium colored in black or silver; wall umbrella (for 90 / 180 / 270 angles); folding wind/ambience screen for 180 angles, fixed to the floor. The covers come in three different materials, each one with its range of colours: the Sunless500 screen in grey or black; the acrylic in taupe, black and white; and the PVC Valmex shade in white. 5

The combination of technical foams of different densities, which provide volume and comfort, are protected by an intermediate cover of waterproof fabric while the superficial upholstery can be of Silvertex vinyl or the Sunbrella acrylic fabrics, the last one as a new configuration option. Fabrics come in different colours that can also be combined to add a touch of originality to your patio. 6

7 NEW DORM Thanks to the frame made of two reversible U shaped metallic plates, it s possible to configure the sofa in different ways: basic module (backrest + seat), chaise longue (basic module + arm), sofa (basic module + 2 arms). It adds extra functionality by allowing easy water draining in case of heavy rain. 7

10 NUA The stylish NUA collection includes an armchair, a two-seater sofa and an 80X80 table with a 10mm HPL Trespa top. NUA features a simple white tubular aluminum frame that come covered with Batyline sling fabrics or with acrylic Sunbrella and waterproof Zander and Silvertex. A set of complementary cushions is also available to add comfort and personalization to this versatile and stylish outdoor furniture. 10
