Since the staircase is the part of the house that t joins all of the floors and can usually be seen from the entry, we can focus on creating a sculpture that makes a statement of our theme. Like the rest of the project, the staircase is developed using our CADD system that is optimized with 3D technology, and when infused with our design skills, we can create a masterful staircase and rail system. Once the design is established we build the 3D model, which enables us to figure the most complex geometry and the relationship to the materials used. We then create fabrication drawings that allow our fabricators to easily understand the criteria, guaranteeing that you get exactly what you expected. These precision drawings are created from the proven 3D model to ensure near perfect accuracy. In addition this will allow us to shop contractors and suppliers to get you the ultimate design for the best possible cost. Below are examples of our 3D models, and the following pages will show several of our completed staircases. This will give you the opportunity to preview our staircases prior to looking through our web portfolios. 2 Modern Industrial See Project Portfolio Modernistic or Design Portfolio Stairs - Modern Industrial The alternating pattern of sandblasted and clear glass creates a translucent effect for safety, while instilling a feeling of openness. The blackened finished steel I beams and posts that support the glass at the top and bottom in a natural aluminum shoe, shows structure melded with beauty. Steel stringers support each run of the bamboo stair treads from floor to landing, connecting each floor. The western exterior wall has a pattern of rectangular shaped windows that bring an abundance of light into the space. This light is then distributed into the bedrooms, bathrooms, and closets through sandblasted sections of glass. The landings and treads have built-in lighting to gently illuminate the staircase below on each floor, for a safe and pleasing descent. This bamboo, metal, and glass staircase is an incredible focal point and feature of the home. Stair Tower See Project Portfolio New Tudor or Design Portfolio Stairs - Stair Tower The staircase opening extends from the basement all the way to the third floor, creating breathtaking views in all directions. As you travel around the second floor hall, the staircase to the third floor bridges over the stair opening with a view all the way to the basement. Spectacular! The treads and risers are solid bamboo. The rail panels are a combination of bamboo rectangles of two different thicknesses with sandblasted glass in the center, along with three solid stainless steel rods in an alternating pattern between the panels. The posts are made from solid bamboo with the same pattern of rectangles in the opposite direction. The handrail is custom made from solid bamboo as well. By using a combination of the horizontal and vertical grain bamboo, this staircase is a spectacular custom feature! page 2

3 Illuminated Rail See Project Portfolio Illumnated Rail or Design Portfolio Stairs - Illuminated Rail This illuminated rail has a continuous light imbedded into the bamboo curb at the bottom of the glass, which creates a delicate glow. At the top, there are elongated panes of glass between bamboo wood posts caped with a custom rail. The curved rail has an alternating pattern of sandblasted glass and stainless steel balusters. As the staircase descends from the first floor to the basement, it wraps around a curved wall with a sleek pattern of lit rectangular shaped windows. Deco Classic See Project Portfolio Deco Tudor or Design Portfolio Stairs - Deco Classic The balusters are a combination of cherry and bamboo rectangles attached to stainless steel cylinders, rippling around the staircase with a fan of bamboo treads that cantilever at different amounts over the curved stringer. The amazing array of pendants float in the center, reflecting light as the glass mosaic tile winds around the wall transitioning from the outside to the inside to terminate at the second floor. page 3

4 T-Rex Stair See Project Portfolio Californial Tudor or Design Portfolio Stairs - T-Rex Stair With this custom designed steel curved staircase, you won't lack a topic of conversation with guests. The floating, steel stair frame is welded with a natural, polished finish, complimenting the solid cherry stained mocha treads. This theme continues throughout the upstairs bridge, between the master suite and the kids bedrooms, providing a wide aerial view over the dining room. Geometrix Stair See Project Portfolio Neo Tudor or Design Portfolio Stairs - Geometrix The Schonbek Geometrix Pyramid light was the inspiration for this solid cherry rail, which has a diamond shaped medalion of V-groove glass, framed in wood. The horizontal stainless balusters are turned diagonally and are joined by tapered posts with stainless steel inlayed at the top. This unique open riser detail flows into the bamboo wood tread seamlessly to the closed stringer as it angles to the second floor bridge. W page 4

The custom cherry wood framed v-groved glass is suspended by the round stainless steel tube, intertwined to create a geometric pattern that s pleasing to the eye. Tudoristic Stair See Project Portfolio French Tudor or Design Portfolio Stairs - Tudoristic This custom welded stringer member is blackened steel, hand polished to perfection, as the substantial cherry wood treads float from the frame. The glass block wood framed medallion floats in the center of the baluster system with vertical square steel balusters, connected to a Tudor style cherry wood top and bottom that span between the support posts. This industrial looking, simple design gives a floating effect that integrates nicely into the steel I beams and posts that are the infrastructure of the lofts support. A built-in shelf unit with sliding, alternating smoked and sandblasted glass doors utilizes the space under the landing. Fireplace Winder See Design Portfolio Stairs - Fireplace Winder This open, natural maple staircase is set in a hexagonal opening. Featured in the center is a fireplace framed in steel I beams, with an inlay of slate to make up the hearth. The flue for the fireplace is hidden in a maple wood frame, with an angle steel metal frame accent and a hi-tech cable lighting system. This antique spiral staircase was re-used from the existing house, then modified to integrate it into the new exterior, and finished with a steel plate wall taking you to the second floor terrace. Octagon Pyramid See Project Portfolio Tudor or Design Portfolio Stairs - Octagon Pyramid The cherry wood treads, stained mocha, form a three-sided angled staircase that coincides with the octagon shaped maple posts, caped with cast aluminum. 9 Victorian See Project Portfolio Victorian or Design Portfolio Stairs - Victorian This classic Victorian style rail that resides in the Gregory Inn Lodo in Denver, Colorado is an absolute classic. The ornate oak wood stringer and endcaps glide into a classic carpet runner. The rail goes from the Turnabout to the second floor, then around the stair well, made of a Victorian styled baluster and post system that complements the classic Victorian theme. Here we feature your more standard staircase with a custom flair, taking a dryall wall and adding a bamboo wood cap, while integrating sandblasted glass panels that transmit light from the stair well window, and also includes a custom bamboo wall mounted rail system.
