3 Stucco Marmorino Decorative lime based Venetian Plasters Stucco Marmorino it is a multi-purpose, highly prestigious, decorative plaster for contemporary and classic decoration. Marmorino, is a trowel applied, paste plaster based on calcium oxide for interior and exterior use. It can be finished using multiple techniques for a variety of matt, satin, and glossy final effects. Due to its outstanding hardness, transpirability, and gloss, it is a solution that is becoming more and more popular not only for its decorativeness, but rather for its convenience. 4 Stucco Veneziano Decorative Venetian Plasters Stucco Veneziano or Venetian Plaster is perfect for both modern and classic ambiences, both residential and commercial settings, and virtually any interior space. A classic finish that lends prestige to both classic and contemporary settings, Stucco Veneziano is a "Venetian Type Plaster" most often characterized by it's smooth, polished, or can be textured. marble like surface. 5 Stucco Nahir Velvet Effect Decorative Plasters Decorative System which was created from the inspirations of the enhancing place that are still to be found in the wonderful Sicilian island, the land of many colors, where the Byzantines styles, Arabs and Normans mix almost naturally with the Landscape of the island. This is where the idea was found to create this new decorative effect. An ethnic style, with the magic touch of Italian Style. This decorative system has a very special Stucco which is easy to model and this allows you to create endless effects. With the application of Velatura Classic or Pearl on top it seems to create transparency, deepness and a unique and fascinating dark light contrast. Nahir Stucco: Innovative decorative finish with extraordinary beauty and easy application, which is used in Linear,Crackle, & Nahir effects. Application: Apply on a smooth and well-cohesive wall or plasterboard, 1 coat of primer S with a shorthaired roller (photo n. 1). After at least 8 hours, spread 1 coat about 2 to 3 mm of Nahir with a plastic trowel, making sure to cover the entire surface evenly (photo n. 2). It is advisable to apply Nahir in strips of about 20 to 30 inches long the entire wall. Immediately follow with the special Linear Effect Trowel (photo n. 3), finish Nahir horizontally, vertically or combination (depending on the effect desired). When finished (after at least 24 hours), apply Veletura with a paint brush following the direction of the lines (photo n. 4) and remove the excess product with a sponge trowel tool (photo n. 5). 6 Stucco Travertino New Concept The Decorative System Travertino new concept discovers and values the aristocratic effect of the famous Italian Marble with an absolutely innovative style. It a wall finish that allows you to obtain tones, colors and a sensation which up to now was not obtainable with Travertino. The elegant aspect of extraordinary beauty renders Travertino ideally for high prestige surroundings. Travertino The Travertino Decorative Plaster allows one to discover the ancient effect of Italian marble with an absolutely innovative style. It is a wall finish that allows you to obtain tones, colors, and finishes unlike any other. Travertino is suitable for high end and casual wall finishes. Surface preparation: Apply one coat of Primer RV, which adheres well on cement, ceramic and hard wall board (Photo No. 1) with a paint brush/roller on a perfectly level, smooth and clean surface. Application: Allow Primer RV to dry for at least 24 hours. Apply the first coat of Travertino with a stainless steel trowel over the entire surface evenly. (Photo No. 2). Before it is completely dry, apply the second coat of Travertino (Photo No. 3) and immediately go over the surface with a sponge roller in order to create a crisping effect (Photo No. 4). Then, with a stainless steel trowel, create the smooth part of finish, as clearly illustrated (Photo No. 5). Allow to dry for about 5 minutes and then with a flat trowel, go over the entire surface, scratching in horizontal directions in order to obtain the Travertino finish desired (Photo No. 6). When the entire surface has been completed, go back over it, pressing it with a perfectly clean stainless trowel in order to shine only the smooth parts of the surface (Photo No. 7). Optional Wax Application: After 24 hours, apply 1 coat of Arthe Wax Naturale, with a sponge or a sponge float (Photo No. 8). 7 Stucco Intonachino Decorative Stucco Lime Stucco Intonaco is a through colored decorative lime stucco for indoor/outdoor use. It has a granular finish, and is based on well seasoned air binders, mineral pigments, and selected extenders of various grain sizes. Intonaco has a high transpiration power and excellent adhesion rate to the substrate, which enhances the user friendly experience. The product does not crack and fights the formation of mold inside buildings. It drastically reduces blooming, due to a limited presence of mineral salt inside the stucco. Overall, it is a professional decorative stucco with a wide range of uses that provides excellent features other than its physical appearance. Lime Stucco Intonachino is a decorative lime stucco for indoor/outdoor use. It s granular formula makes for a variety of different finishes simulately effects of natural stone which vary greatly from its natural appearance. Surface preparation: Before applying this product, wet the surface, which must be suitably cured. Spread the product evenly over the surface using stainless steel trowels. For best results, it is advised to apply Intonachino in two coats. The first must be spread with a tight. finish. When dry, wet the surface again and apply the finishing coat moving the trowels to provide an antique effect. It is essential to use a two-coat application cycle for surfaces that have been patched or grooved, as such defects may give rise to differing levels of absorption, spoiling the final appearance of the product. Feel antique looking of velatura silossanica, characterized by a semitransparent quality and typical chiaroscuro effect of the velatura. Velatura Classic A simple application system, where natural light to dark effects appear over the surface. Ideal for decorating the interior wall surface of homes and buildings that aim to recreate a classic antique feel. Surface preparation: Sand, dust, and level any imperfection using joint compound. Apply one coat of Universal Fixative which should be diluted in water at a ratio of between 1:R up to 1:10; depending on the absorption of the surface to be applied. 10 Stucco Coccio Pesto Stucco decorativo al Cocciopesto e grassello di calce Stucco decorative lime plaster with cocciopesto terracotta grains, combining the sfiammature effect typical of the cocciopesto and the lime putty translucent quality. Cocciopesto Decorative lime plaster with terracotta grains which combine to create the faded effect with the translucent quality of natural lime plasters. Cocciopesto is naturally low in VOCs and is mold resistant. Carrara is easy to apply, enviornmentally friendly, VOC free. Surface preparation: Apply a coat of Fondo Fine primer to any surface such as, existing plaster, plasterboard, drywall, or paint. Application: Apply first coat of Carrara untinted evenly to the surface with a stainless steel trowel. Apply second coat wet on wet directly over first coat applying pressure so that the grains appear on the surface. 12 Stucco Marmo Puntinato Black Dotted Lime Venetian Plaster Puntinato Stucco Marmo Putinato Black dotted lime Venetian Plaster for decorative interior wall finishes. Putinato is an easy to apply environmentally friendly, VOC free slaked lime plaster. Surface preparation: Apply a coat of Fondo Fine primer to the surface such as existing plaster, plasterboard, drywall, and paint. Application: Apply a first coat of Putinato with a stainless steel trowel or spatula evenly to create a flat surface. (Photo No. 1) When the first coat is dry, apply a second coat on a 45 degree angle to allow black dots to appear. Allow second coat to dry and apply a third coat if so desired. 13 Stucco Caravaggio Velvet Effect Decorative Plasters Caravaggio combines the precious features of the Venetian stucco with the original elegance, softness and light effects typical of the ancient wall fabrics, used in the Renaissance. Caravaggio allows you to obtain some extraordinary results (never seen before with other traditional paints) by exploiting the decorative abilities and creativity of the painter who can create original nuances with very different applications, suitable for all kinds environments. Caravaggio Silver Effect Broccato Caravaggio Gold Effect Damascato Caravaggio Plaster combines the velvet effect of Venetian plaster with the original elegance, softness, and light effects typical of wall fabric. Caravaggio allows you to create a unique look and effect with every stroke and twist of the trowel. Although, Caravaggio look can be extremely elegant, it is suitable for all types of interior wall environments. Surface preparation: Sand, dust, and level any imperfections with joint compound. Apply a coat Universal Fixative diluted in water between 1:R to 10:R. evenly to the entire surface with a brush or roller. Allow to dry for four hours. Application: Spatolato Effect Apply the first coat of product about 0.5 to 1 mm in thickness with an Atova PVC spatula. Allow it to dry for about 6-8 hours. Apply the second coat in small areas about one square meter at a time and immediately go back over the applied surface gently using the PVC trowel/spatula in different directions and continue over entire surface in the same manner. 15 Pittura Decorativa alla Calce Natural mineral lime paint REATMENTS Pittura Decorativa alla Calce- Lime Paint A mineral paint based on slaked lime putty finely filtered and seasoned for at least 6 months. It is environmental friendly and VOC free. Easy to apply, it is naturally resistant against mold and bacteria. Pittura alla Calce lime paint is suitable for interior and exterior wall surfaces. Lime Paint is used to create aged effects over existing plaster or new plasters from Le Belle Mura. Surface preparation: It is necessary to prime all surfaces accordingly. Apply a coat of Fondo Fine over the surface. Apply with a brush or roller evenly over the surface. Application: Apply Lime Paint with a sponge, roller, brush, or sponge trowel in a fashion to create the desired effect. 16 Crocodile Finish Atova's "Crocodile Finish" is the first of its kind. In keeping with Atova tradition, we are now offering the newest and hottest finish for wall decoration. Created by Atova, this tool was developed to consistently create the "skin" look so highly sought after. This easy to use tool, together with Atova's new formulated Caravaggio" plaster product can consistently create a perfect alligator or crocodile skin effect in a large range of colors. Caravaggio's graceful illusion reflects light and color like no other of its kind. It is a fine microplaster with an amazing coverage rate. Manufactured in two bases, Caravaggio comes as either a gold or silver base. The gold base doesn't require tinting, as it is designed with fine gold pigments and mica, enabling a rich and sophisticated gold finish. The silver or gold base can be tinted with universal pigment, or with special toners available from Atova. A display of color and light, Caravaggio adds depth and mystery to surfaces. Its thin consistency enables better coverage and light application methods. 1. Tint the base coat plaster with the same quantity of color selected to color Caravaggio gold or silver. 2. Apply one or more coats of base coat plaster until you obtain a smooth surface. 3. Before base coat plaster sets, use tool to stamp out Crocodile effect. 4. Once the surface is dry, remove high points and edges with a scrapper and sand surface with grit sand paper. 5. Resand with 320 or 400 grit sand paper after sand again with 600 grit sand paper to smooth and polish the surface. 6. Clean the surface to remove access dust and polish with stainless steel trowel. 7. Apply a layer of Caravaggio using a suitable plastic trowel pulled tightly. 8. 17 Cera Naturale/ Natural Wax Natural bees wax specially formulated for lime plaster. Water base and naturally 100% and 0 VOC free. Cera Naturale is used to increase the shine and durability of lime and decorative plasters on interior wall surfaces only. Application: Allow plaster to dry for up to 48 hours before applying wax. Mix wax carefully and spread with a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Wait one to two hours and proceed to burnish with a cloth or mechanical buffer. Storage: Cera Naturale maintains its properties for a period of 12 months if protected from excessive heat and cold. The storage temperature must be between 41 and 86 degrees F. Protect from frost. Safety guidelines: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. For more information consult the safety sheet or a physician. Arthe Wax Naturale increases the level of shine and makes the surface water repellent and stain resistant. Has the ability to enhance the final color of plaster when dry. Application: Allow plaster to dry for up to 48 hours before applying wax. Apply wax directly over the polished stucco/plaster with a soft cloth, stainless steel spatula, or trowel. Apply wax at room temperature. Available in: 1 Quart or 1 Gallon pails. Spread rate: Sq. ft. per quart. "Shine" Wax An oil based wax for Venetian Plaster. Capable of penetrating the surface and sealing it from unwanted stains, fingerprints, or spills. Ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, and other high traffic areas, Shine wax can darker the finishes plaster effect by 30% and an high shine and durable finish. Application: Apply shine wax with a stainless steel trowel, mechanical buffer, or a soft cotton cloth. Allow Venetian Plaster to dry hours prior to applying wax. Available in: 1 Quart Spread Rate: Sq. ft. per quart. Matte Wax Water based wax and protective coating for Venetian and all types of decorative plasters. Matte wax can penetrate the plaster and seal the surface for superior protection. Ideal for use in bathrooms, kitchens, and other high traffic areas. Created to enhance the shine and conceal minor wall surface imperfections. Application: Apply Matte wax with a stainless steel trowel or cotton cloth. 18 Primer S "Primer S" is an acrylic resin-based product in emulsion containing marble grains. It is a smooth effect primer particularly suitable to aid in the adhesion of plasters on smooth supports with low absorption, such as concrete, cellular cement, plasterboard, or plaster. It is in fact applied as a binding element on those difficult supports where common plasters do not easily adhere. Composition: Acrylic emulsion, special surface-active agents, quartz grains, other additives. Application: Dilute the product with 20-35% of water and apply with a paintbrush or roller.
