Which has lead to an increased interest for good design, as well as new ways to organize the office that encourage collaboration and innovation, such as Activity Based Workplaces (ABW), says Sales Director Trine Roland Westergaard. Together with our clients we are bringing together our deep understanding of products with competence around optimizing the work process in order to improve the way they work, says Westergaard. In the last few years, increase in real estate princes and environmental concerns have gained a lot of attention in China. Begging for a change in the traditional way we look at office space and consumption of office furniture. 9 Available for interviews Introducing Michael Emanuelsson - Senab Concept s CEO Carl-Henrik Lagnefors - Senab's Executive Vice President Both Michael and Carl have been part of Senab, Sweden for many years, working together on a vast scope of different projects and seeing the changes in commercial/public space develop in Scandinavia. Sweden being one of the most utilitarian societies in the world is at the forefront of design for the wellbeing of people. Looking beyond ergonomics and comfort to work patterns, innovation and technology. Seeing this potential with the rising demographics in China, Michael and Carl were the key members responsible for the setup of Senab, China in order to bring the latest knowledge and trends from Europe to the Chinese market. Carl is an architect by training. This background provides him with great knowledge and understanding of design and the planning of work spaces. His observations of trends and practices of designers in Sweden have earned him an esteemed position on an advisory board with other architects and designs who give large corporations advice and suggestions in order to adapt to change. He is also responsible for raising the question what is the future of our work environment? and began the journey to gather insight and knowledge from a broad spectrum of influencers from online bloggers to university professors. Tapping into what our lives will be like 50 years from now and how technology will influence the way we behave. Faced with the challenge to start up a furniture company in one of the most saturated markets in the world, Michael began looking at the trends and practices in Sweden. Erik Stigmar who was responsible for the redesign and development of Volvo s car showrooms, took this challenge and answered it with Design. Not just any design but Scandinavian design. Bringing in elements of main street luxury retail to the automotive industry, he created the Volvo Retail Experience together with Senab and design firm Wingardh. Looking at people, buyers and owners of Volvo, and their lifestyle. The result of this concept has driven a drastic raise in Volvo s global market share with the key market in China.
