2 IDF Oman Interior + Design + Furniture Exhibition 2016 The exhibition focused on accessories, art, bathroom, décor, furniture and furnishings, interior design, kitchen, lightings, luxury life style, surfaces & finishes, textiles and carpets, commercial interiors and fit out, outdoor design & build, vastu & fengshui to a very healthy audience of buyers. The exhibition featured more than 100 companies, with over 50 international exhibitors from across the globe, surpassing the past two editions. over 35 Italian companies from diverse interior design sectors; Once again Alfardan Motors LLC supported the exhibition by displaying 2 Maserati Cars to justify Italians as one of the finest and niche designers in the world. THE VILLA, a lifestyle through the centuries was one of the main highlights of IDF Oman which is created by Opera architects will welcome visitors at the entrance of CasaMédinit. 3rd IDF Oman - Interior, Design & Furnishing Exhibition opened its doors from February, 2016 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre and was officially inaugurated by H.E. Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism and accompanied by Ministry officials, members of the diplomatic forces, media and top business people. The show was organized by Al Nimr Expo in co-operation with the Ministry of Housing and Public Authority for Craft Industries. Oman s rapid progress in the construction and the real estate sector, has witnessed the launch of numerous commercial, residential & tourism projects, thus creating a demand for interior & outdoor design, décor & furnishings. The key objective of the exhibition is to display the latest in technology, usage of materials and innovative approaches to interior design, décor & furniture. IDF has helped meet the growing demand, by bringing together all the leading companies in the industry under one roof. At the visitor level, the show was successful in drawing more than 4,700 professionals and end-users from Oman, GCC, Middle East and Other countries. Professionals from the private and public sectors, government officials, VIP s, interior designers, architects & key decision-makers were all available to network, learn about new products, and conduct business deals during IDF Oman. Special highlights of IDF Oman was the CasaMedinit Made in Italy, The Villa Project, Paragon Arts activity and Sorabi Live Art by Mr. Jaafar Hamza Italian Area was managed by Medinit Srl consecutively for the 3rd time & featured Paragon Arts is a non-profit educational, social and entertainment CSR initiative created by Paragon International and sponsored by The Wave Muscat. The initiative aims at further promoting the local art movement, contributing towards exposing Oman-based artists and their art onto a wider arena and a global audience with a focus on art education and training by leading artists from all around the world most of whom reside in Oman. The response to the 3rd IDF Oman 2016 has been overwhelming, and plans for 2017 are already underway and it certainly promises to be bigger and better!
