3 shareholders Budget Office Furniture has achieved outstanding growth since its inception in 1999, and in less than two decades, has become the leading manufacturer of office and school furniture in the Eastern Cape. Having served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2007, I am proud to be associated with the company. I am heartened by the care with which every detail is attended to and confident that the company is set to sustain its upward trajectory. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the company, having previously served in leadership positions at HUGH PARKER and UNATHI TIMBER PRODUCTS. With extensive experience representing national government and local authorities, he is a senior partner at SMITH TABATA ATTORNEYS, in East London, and a Board Member at VUWA INVESTMENTS, Ken Cartwright Owner of a number of successful businesses in the Eastern Cape. His interests lie in a range of different sectors which include financial services, insurance, property development, and furniture manufacture.

6 milestones The company was founded by Cobus Coetzee and Ken Cartwright. We acquired factory floor space totaling 2,000 square metres. We started a hostel furniture division. To date, we have furnished 7,800 hostel rooms. The factory today % l of the company was bought by VUWA INVESTMENTS, a black-owned company headed by Executive Chairman Bulelani Nguka We doubled up on machinery and increased our floor space to 5,700 square metres. 12 workforce We currently employ exactly 100 permanent staff members and 40 contract workers. 90% of our original workforce is still with us. 2 staff members have retired, and 3 are deceased. Our staff members belong to the Allied Workers Union, and the Unions for Workers in the Chemical, Energy, Paper, Printing, Wood, and Allied Workers Union. This is for a caption.
