5 Intro The continuous search for the perfect balance in design is represented by a white square, encapsulating ideas and themes behind each of our projects. The industrial background and the white space contradict, yet are harmonious. The paradox behind the perfect white square in its purity represents the ideal design in furniture and products.

6 History A collaboration between father and son brings together a design synergy of past and present. Accupunto takes an ancient method of acupuncture and transforms it into living furniture. Its Ergonic series have received numerous international awards and publications. Ergonic utilizes an international patented system that forms the contour of the users. Innovation and development have always been the core beliefs of the company and it has carried the brand through its venture in introducing new and original products from Asia. Year of establishment: 2002 Founders YOS S. THEOSABRATA Yos started the furniture business 30 years ago and is currently the president of several furniture, exhibition contracting, and event organizing companies. He is also the president of the Indonesian Furniture Club. LEONARD THEOSABRATA Leonard graduated from the Product Design Faculty at the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA in His love for furniture has led him to build the Accupunto brand. Currently, he is the head of LTD studio, which focuses on interior and product design for clients such as TOTO, Aida, and Chamdani. 7 Design Concept Styling can derive from different sources. In Accupunto s Ergonic series, it comes from pure function where the frame is designed to support cushion s structure. We do not hide it with a complex frame design. Even the aesthetics come from ergonomic practices. 9 Michael Young for Accupunto 2008 Presenting a first-time collaboration between Accupunto, an international furniture brand, with world renowned designer Michael Young. The collection features four signature collections in wood, plastic, fiberglass, and delicate fiber weaving by Viro. All products are made in Asia. In collaboration with VIRO fiber, the largest global producer of all weather wicker for the medium to high-end market. We met in Bali, and over our chat, our mutual passion for design was immediately obvious. I like his spirit and business acumen. He has a thorough understanding of the production process in Asia, which is a place I love and am familiar with, and they know how to package my new works. I am honored to be involved in the growth of such a fresh and promising company. We have felt the need to expand our brand for quite some time. To work with Michael Young in an effort to realize this vision is a bold yet obvious step. He knows what it is like to work in Asia, and he understands our work mentality, and that s very important. It s the friendship that has developed during the process that will sustain our progress.
