15 Pinnacle Components and Options Valance Options Decorative 3 1 /4 valances add a finishing touch to Pinnacle Blind choices. Mitered returns are available and return size may be specified to cover exposed mounting brackets. Custom valances with returns create a finished look on outside mount and semi-inside mount installations. Each blind within a configuration has its own headrail, bottomrail, lift and tilt control. Control mechanisms may be on left or right side of each blind. Measuring for Corner Windows: There will be one Butt Blind and one Bypass Blind. Bypass blind is mounted in the corner. Butt blind is butted up to the other (see diagram). Measure the area each blind section will cover. 16 Pinnacle Measuring Instructions measuring guidelines Basic Measuring Measure each window individually. Measurements should be recorded as width first, then height. Inside mount blinds: Measure the width at three locations; top, middle and bottom. Record smallest measurement. Measure the height at three locations; left, middle and right. Record smallest measurement. Round down to the nearest 1 /8. Fabricator will take 1/2 deduction. If returns are required, return size must be specified at time of order. Outside mount blinds: Measure the width and height of the desired area to be covered. It is recommended to allow 11/2 on each side to minimize light leakage. When measuring the height take into account the requirements for mounting the brackets on a flat vertical surface of at least 1 3 /4. HEIGHT WIDTH Measuring for Cut-Outs Cut-Outs: Cut-outs have a small square or rectangle removed to avoid obstructions. 18 Pinnacle Care and Warranty Information Abbington TM 2 Custom Wood Camden TM 2 and 2 1 /2 Custom Faux Wood Huntington TM 2 Privacy - Premium Cut-Down Blind Care and Cleaning Like any furnishings, horizontal blinds should be dusted regularly. Use a soft, clean cloth or dust mitt. Blinds may also be cleaned by vacuuming them with a brush attachment. Stained wood blinds should be periodically treated with lemon oil or other wood preservative to protect their finish. Limited Life Time Warranty The Pinnacle Horizontal Blind is warranted against original defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original purchaser, provided that the product was properly installed and in a residential dwelling.
