2 Letter from Founder Love Happened with a simple sketch of a chair over cocktails in a New York City lounge. As the grace of the pen took to the paper my desire to possess this chair and create more pieces with the same empowerment became my mission. Never has the time felt more right for me than now to create a brand that is truly a personal reflection of who I am. KOKET offers a glimpse into my world and everything that moves me. It is all of what I believe in, where I have been, and where I will take the brand will be closely tied to my personal growth. Born in New York and raised between Europe and the US, Janet s deep familiarity with the European culture and her multilingual command of four languages have uniquely positioned her at the center of the rapidly evolving international luxury brand market. Janet s love affair a with Paris, design, and fashion led her to move to the captivating city of all things glamour. While living in Paris, she immersed herself into the refined Parisian world and developed a highly trained eye for haute taste and a dead-on instinct of trends-to-come and what people wanted. The desire to create the brand KOKET stemmed from not only from Janet s devotion to design, but also the constant challenge of finding décor pieces that truly spoke to her during her 10+ years in the interior design world as Founder/Design Principal of the interior design firm DeMorais & Associates. The name KOKET comes from Janet s nickname Janette la coquette, a name given to her for her playful ways. Since launching her own brand in 2010, Interior Designer Janet Morais has seduced the design industry with her sensuous designs. 13 Vintage Vibe The exclusive brand KOKET just unveiled several new additions to the ladies of the upholstery collection at Maison & Objet Paris, showcasing designs with a vintage vibe. The ladies are a stunning blend of Art Deco decadence and present day luxe. Letí s start with Audrey, youí ll be aching to embark on a KOKET holiday with her. This sassy upholstered chair is given a touch of her ì devil may care attitude by being accompanied with a petite foot rest, when feeling coolly nonchalant. Her retro, skinny jean legs and trendy upholstery fabric add a charming je ne sais quoi. Then there is the comfy Cocktail chair, but doní t be fooled by her plush exterior. 15 Koket at Empire KOKET s sassy collection sets the scene on Empire KOKET is taking Hollywood by storm. First the luxury furniture brand starred in the hot and steamy box office hit Fifty Shades of Grey, now the sassy ladies of the Guilty Pleasures collection are hanging with the Lyoní s family on the hottest television drama series of 2016, FOXí s Empire. Empire has returned for the second installment of Season 2 with a new starlet in the cast, KOKET. Several pieces from the brand will appear in this seasons set design of one of the biggest dramas on television today. 21 A Divine Project Of Classic Modernism Chicago-based designer Donna Hall channels the dark glamour of 1920s Chicago in her latest interior design project featuring KOKET Washington, D.C. March 2016 Since 2001, Donna Hall, principal of Donna Mondi Interior Design has been successfully creating interiors with a delicate fusion of European Classicism and American Modernism. In her most recent Chicago project, Hall s inspiration is the sultry charm of Roaring Twenties Chicago, taking advantage of the unique architecture of the space. The overall inspiration came from the era of the 1920 s in Chicago. I always take cues from the architecture of a space and then twist it in a modern way, says Hall. Her interiors are composed of bold elements layered with textures and patterns, but with a cohesive feeling that runs throughout the design. One of her noted design signatures is to play with the ceiling design or the 5th wall as seen in the Dining Room of this project. Hall covered the ceiling in an ethereal Maya Romanoff wallcovering while painting the surrounding walls in a glossy black lacquer to reflect light throughout the oval shaped room. The split Living Room also features a dynamic plaster ceiling, added to complement and downplay the striking portrait that immediately grabs your attention

25 KOKET Goes Ethnic Chic A charming Amsterdam canal house is transformed by the designers at Ethnic Chic using KOKET pieces Imagine strolling along Amsterdam s picturesque streets; old bridges create pathways through canal waters lined with charming row houses. It is in one of these attractive row houses where Robin Toetenel and Ingrid Steyrer, the design duo forming Ethnic Chic, revamped an empty house into a warm and sophisticated space while incorporating some KOKET pieces into the design. The result is a truly stunning canal house, full of custom furniture, lavish fabrics and nishes and quality craftsmanship. Ethnic Chic was originally opened in 2004 as a boutique in the heart of Amsterdam, selling unique and compelling home décor. After many requests for interior design projects, Toetenel and his rst business partner began dabbling in interior design, and thus a designer was born. The canal house project was worked on day and night to be completed within the 3-week timeframe. Custom furniture was own in from all over the world to add cultural soul and character to the space, challenging the designers to nd new products and brands. One of these exclusive brands is KOKET, whose tempting pieces are seen in the bedroom and living room designs of the canal house. The living room shape has grand ceilings and large windows which the designers used to their advantage. Decorated in tones of aubergine, the designers placed two matching Burlesque consoles on either side of the living room s marble replace. The luxury console table s acrobatic polished brass hoops of the base, paired with exotic reptile embossed velvet, added the spice the designers were looking for
