2 About Us TMCkids is committed to the importance of strong design, lasting quality and exceptional service to our customers. Since introducing our unique, colorful, laser-cut furniture for adults and children, TMC has continuously developed visionary styling for the contract market. Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, TMC was started (and is still owned) by artists and designers who share the philosophy that design, innovation and customization are the core to modern US manufacturing. Our interest is not in producing furniture by the container-load. We are enamored of traditional made-to-order production methods and values, and by establishing our factory in Grand Rapids, we have been able to tap the city s rich history of furniture-craft. The TMCkids line is designed specifically for children and meant to engage them with interactive products that are well designed and manufactured. The kids healthcare line takes much of its inspiration from nature, adopting the belief that a strong connection to the natural environment around a healthcare center plays an integral role in the healing process. Beautiful wood finishes, vibrant colors, and exciting characters adorn the TMCkids line, offering children furniture that is not only scaled for their size, but designed with their needs in mind.

11 The designers for the C.S. Mott Children s Hospital took our standard display tower and customized it to work in the newly created physical therapy rooms. The same spacious and organized design paired with playful cut-outs made this unit a calming and fun addition for the children. The University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children s Hospital is an exemplary installation that highlights TMCkids ability to use whimsical designs in a sophisticated setting. Taking inspiration from nature, animals, and bright colors, we designed major children s areas within the hospital that provide a source of calm for patients. TMC has long followed the practice of evidence based design and this installation is a perfect example of a successful combination of art, nature, and durable furnishings.

Our healthcare furnishings for children do a wonderful job of providing products for younger patients to play with, talk about, and get their hands on. 18 Create a comfortable waiting room Playful cut-outs, vibrant colors and seating scaled for little frames are a few of the trademark design elements our customers have come to love and expect from TMC. Pictured at left is the classic Algonquin Children s Lounge accented with cutouts from our Neighborhood Series. The beautiful combination of wood and fabric provide a comfortable place for children to sit in waiting rooms and doctor s offices. Below is a waiting room using Lorca chairs and table.
