3 Imeüble Welcome to the stunning world of the Imeuble storage system. Already considered an iconic design across Scandinavia and beyond, Imeuble's unique concept has captured the front cover of Wall Paper magazine and the imagination of the Art world. Imeuble s design plays on the idea of a link between the storage inside and outside our heads. An idea that our memory functions are spatial, like when you re reading a book, spatial images occur of scenes and characters. It s that transition from the two dimensional to a feeling of three dimensions that Imeuble has captured so beautifully, with it's vibrant colors dancing between the illusion of a 2D and 3D space, playing with perspective and the mind. Imeuble is certainly no ordinary storage system, and finds itself somewhere between Design and Art, which is quite fitting for a piece that changes from every angle you look at it. Collectors item The first 10 sets of the multi coloured edition seen in this pamphlet containing 7 units / 21 boxes, is part of by Corporation s Collectors Item and signed by the designer Bjørn Jørund Blikstad. Every coloured set of 7 units will be marked with a production number.

4 Imeüble Imueble was first discovered in the mind and sketchbook of a young designer from Norway. Bjørn Jørund Blikstad, an avantgarde furniture designer and masters degree graduate from Oslo National Academy of the Arts, was tired of traditional shelving options and wanted to discover what happens when utility and design collide. I was intrigued by the concept of a link between the storage inside and outside our minds. An idea that our memory functions are spatial, like when you re reading a book, spatial images occur of scenes and characters. It s that transition from the two dimensional to a feeling of three dimensions that is very fascinating. With Imeuble, Blikstad has achieved an incredible and engaging representation of that transition of memory from 2D to 3D that not only looks beautiful but also works beautifully too.

5 The Award for Design Excellence The Award for Design Excellence is a leading award for design in Norway by The Norwegian Design Council (NDC) for the very best of innovative solutions One important objective of the Award for Design Excellence is to inspire Norwegian businesses to use design to create innovative and competitive products and services for the benefit and pleasure of Norwegian and international consumers. The Norwegian Design Council was established in 1963 by the Norwegian Trade Council and the Confederation of Norwegian Business and Industry. NDC are financed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and are part of the ministry's policy to increase the competitiveness of the Norwegian trade and industry. Her Highness, the Crown Princess of Norway is the royal protector of NDC. Jury s verdict OPTICAL EYE-CATCHER. The concept is new and executed with style. The optical illusion and use of colour is an eye-catcher that will add character to any office, hotel lobby or other room in the professional market it is designed for. The jury were impressed that it is solved in a technically smart way. The modules are like building blocks, and are easy to install. A piece of furniture that focuses on people s memories in an emotional way is both refreshing and innovative.

6 W: 1400 mm Technical info Designed in Norway, manufactured in Sweden. Imueble has been built to an extremely high specification. The material is high quality MDF with strong lacquer coating. World wide warranty is 5 years. A Imeuble unit is designed with a hexagon back plate, holding 3 individual boxes.the back plate is mounted on a flat wall with 3 screws. The boxes are slid into the back plate and could be easily moved around to other units when mounted on a wall. The Imeuble Original is developed using 7 units with colors deliberately selected to enhance the 3D experience. H: 1755 mm D: 235 mm
