Students are now expected to work in groups, to express their ideas and thoughts and learn side by side with the teacher. 3 The Opti+ Collection For the first time in the history of furniture design for the education world, we bring together all of the elements required to achieve the optimal posture in the classroom into one comprehensive product line. The Opti+ Collection combines a forward sloping chair with a unique waterfall edge and a patented student desk with an integrated footrest that provides flexibility and comfort. Designed around the Mandal Principle, which encourages a forward-sloping seating position to achieve balanced seating, the Opti+ Collection is the ideal solution for modern classroom furnishing.

4 The Opti+ Philosophy Opti+ is an innovative line of student chairs and desks founded upon countless hours of research, with attention to balanced seating, movement and interaction in inspiring learning environments. Poor learning environments not only cause negative physical symptoms, they also hamper the ability to concentrate and learn. To prevent this, we always consider the ergonomics of a place of learning. For us, the right seating solution, with the right posture, within the right environment is essential.

6 A Focus on Ergonomics The concept is simple: develop a chair and desk influenced by the Mandal Principle, that allows the user to achieve a natural resting position where the spine supports the body in a comfortable manner. The same position is seen when people are standing upright or lying on their side when they sleep. We have developed the Opti+ collection of ergonomic chairs and desks based on this natural resting position. Tiered Seating With three different desk heights and coordinating seat options, the Opti+ collection gives you the chance to set your classroom up in a tiered configuration. With this layout, every student will be able to see while maintaining a comfortable and healthy posture. Student - Teacher Engagement Studies have shown that a clear line of sight to the teacher results in a more focused and fruitful learning experience for students. With this collection, you can implement a unique 3-tiered stadium seating configuration into your classroom. This allows students from any row to see clearly and also increases student and teacher interaction by bringing them to the same eye level, creating an environment that encourages dialogue and participation.

8 The integrated height adjustable footrests allow students in the back row to maintain proper posture with their feet resting on a flat surface.

9 Height Adjustable Footrest The Opti+ desk collection features a unique adjustable footrest that helps users achieve the most comfortable seating position every time. Available on the two taller Opti+ desk models, it encourages the optimal seating posture at any seat height. An elastic ring snaps into slots at different heights on the central column; the footrest fits over this o-ring and can be adjusted to the desired height. The plastic footrest is very durable and engineered to withstand daily use in the classroom. Non-Scratch Table Stacking The Opti+ cantilever and v-frame allow for nonscratch stacking on top of tables. The built in buffers insure that your surfaces will be safe from any marks or abrasions. Easy to Move Integrated casters built into the pedestal of the Opti+ desks make room reconfiguration simple. Tilt the desk and you re ready to push or pull it wherever you need it to go.

10 Chair Comfort & Ergonomics The Opti+ chair features a spacious seat and an ultra modern tapered waterfall edge that helps increase blood circulation and permits a range of ergonomically correct positions. Inspired by the Mandal Principle, the extended waterfall edge encourages a natural resting position (1). The single piece, hollow, blow-molded shell acts as an air cushion which provides optimal comfort (2), while the curvature of the back provides continuous lumbar support (3). 2 Sleek Handle 3 Opti+ chairs are easy to move around a room because of the minimalist handle integrated into the shell back. 1

11 Multiple Frame Options The Opti+ seating collection is available in a variety of frame and size combinations to fit bodies of every shape. There are 3 different frame variations to suit any environment: v-frame, cantilever, and 5-star. All desk and chair frames are available in either a platinum, charcoal metallic, or black finish. Chair Stacking Opti+ cantilever frame chairs can be stacked for easy storage or transportation. Stackable up to 8 chairs high. V-Frame Colorful Shells Cantilever (C) 5-Star Opti+ chairs are available in 5 standard shell colors: red, lime, light gray, light blue, and graphite. Additional custom colors are available at an extended lead time and may require minimum order quantity.
