8 HONEYCOMB SHADES CARE AND CLEANING Care and Cleaning Honeycomb shades are made of anti-static, dust-resistant fabric which repels dirt and dust. For most honeycomb fabrics, the following cleaning options are available. Dusting Regular light dusting with a feather duster is all the cleaning that is needed in most circumstances. Vacuuming Compressed Air/Hair Dryer (Cool Setting) Spot-Cleaning Caution Do not spot clean fabric-covered valances. 13 SHEER SHADINGS OPERATING SYSTEMS Cordless Child Safe Operating Systems EasyRise Continuous cord loop system with secured cord tensioner for easy operation no matter the size of the shading. Hard-Wired Features a hard wired motor in the blind headrail that uses house power to raise and lower the shade from commands from a remote or wall switch. This is the premium control choice, and can be wired into home automation systems. LiteRise Cordless Operation Completely cordless operating system offers light control along with added child and pet shade to be raised and lowered, also offers the functionality of tilting the vanes by hand. 15 SHEER SHADINGS CARE AND CLEANING Cleaning Procedures Sheer Shadings are made of 100% polyester, which means they are inherently durable and resilient. However, care must be taken to avoid wrinkling the fabric, particularly where the vanes meet the facings. Dusting Regular light dusting with a feather duster is all the cleaning that is needed in most circumstances. Vacuuming Use a low suction, hand-held vacuum for more thorough dust removal. Forced Air Blow away dirt and debris between the vanes using clean compressed air. Note: Do not spot-clean anything on sheer shadings. Ultrasonic Cleaning Sheer Shadings can be ultrasonically cleaned by a professional, with the exception of Mystique. Specify that a mild detergent solution be used. Never immerse the headrail in the solution. Dry the shading completely in the lowered position. Injection/Extraction (Onsite blind cleaning) Sheer Shadings can be professionally cleaned using the injection/extraction method. Use only the dry method of injection/extraction for Mystique Never immerse the headrail in the solution. Note: only available in limited regions. Electrostatic Cleaning Do not use electrostatic cleaning wipes on any Sheer Shadings. A Note About Sheer Shading Fabrics As with all textiles, Sheer Shading fabrics are subject to some variations. Slight wrinkling, puckering, or bowing is inherent to this textile product and should be considered normal, acceptable quality.
