25 d. Budgeting How the budget will influence the current trend? The budget is mostly decided by the client so you would have to adjust your plans and ideas within that limited budget scope and plan all the designing and materials according to that limitation.. During selection of materials, a common problem with all clients is that they always like a higher priced product from the budget/price/boq/ and specifications mentioned in the final estimate. After submission of the estimate, along with an initial meeting, we understand the actual nature of the clients along with their likings and dislikes towards various aspects of design. This guides us further for shortlisting various materials, colors, textures and concepts to be used further for given projects.

26 As the site work progresses, various modifications takes place on site in all aspects of interiors for shape & utility which delays the project causing increase in budget. Majorly the cause of project delay takes place due to client s late decisions with irregular/late flow of payments which the client never takes responsibility for. Client goes by latest trends but have a conscious budget for his project which is restrictive for designers to creatively offer what they want. Though client wants new trends in their interiors but due to budget restrictions they compromise for low quality material which effects the finishing & quality of the end product. A regular review with an enforced system between the architect and the client of regular documentation and approvals would cut down the risk of budget increasing to a large extent. Therefore mutual trust, confidence and faith with transparency between client & designer is of utmost importance for successful completion of project.
