3 State-of-the-art surfaces We all know that granite and other natural stone is tough and good looking. But is it flexible, easy to handle and will it survive the bowling ball drop test? Well no it won t. Is it sufficiently slim and lightweight to fit neatly over other materials without reinforcement? Not without slicing it thin and sacrificing technical performance. That is why, instead, we blend genuine Italian granite with state-of-the-art polymer resin for added strength and flexibility, then mould it into large agglomerate slabs only ¼ (6.7mm) thick, with all the aesthetics of stone and the performance of a composite. We do the same with natural quartzite to create finer-grained materials and a lighter colour spectrum. We were also the first to combine recycled glass, usually from recovered beer, wine and mineral water bottles, with polymer technology, achieving tough, sparkling eco-chic surfaces. More recently, we pioneered the use of post-industrial recycled porcelain, one of the toughest materials on earth, employing rejects from designer sanitaryware production. We back all these slabs with our trademark Flexiweb mesh, then diamond polish the surface for a deep, enduring shine. Seeing is believing and having reviewed the full selection of finishing materials and replacement doors, then looked at a cutaway model of our unique top that fits on top concept, you will hopefully see why TREND Transformations is the makeover solution for you. Having chosen some candidate colours and materials, then previewed how they ll look with our magical ipad app, the next step is for one of our consultants to visit your home and measure up. There s no commitment at that stage, but we are confident that once you ve been quoted the price, you ll appreciate the outstanding value and place an order. After that, our installers prepare full-size templates of all the fittings, then fabricate the worktops, doors or other makeover elements off-site. On the appointed day, the fitters will arrive with the completed fabrications, ready to install over your existing surfaces.
