Surveys & Mapping / Real Estate Acquisitions JMT offers solutions to meet the needs of any project, from topographic/hydrographic surveying to real estate acquisition, property and GPS surveys, plat preparation, subsurface utility designating and locating. Program & Construction Management Comprehensive services for program management, construction management and inspection, as well as construction support services for project scheduling, claims analysis, and commissioning. Planning Services range from regional and community based planning for master plans and feasibility studies to project planning for complete streets, highways, transit, airport and pedestrian and bicycle facilities. 4 Highways Highway design has evolved to a specialized discipline requiring dedicated professionals that stay current with changing technology, standards and practice. Highways and Interchanges From our inception, JMT has continuously been involved in the design of interstate/freeway facilities throughout the Eastern United States. Projects have included several mega projects that include full, partial, limited access highway, turnpikes, toll and HOV facilities. 7 Mark Center Design-Build Short and Mid-Term Improvements - Alexandria, VA Geometric Design and Analysis JMT has completed hundreds of assignments involving geometric design and analysis to optimize efficiency and safety and environmental sustainability for all community stakeholders and the traveling public. JMT s geometric improvements include modifications to roadway profiles, alignments, cross sections, safety and sight distance enhancements for the traveling public including pedestrians, bicyclists, automobiles and transit users. 8 Bridges & Structures Bridges designed by JMT for transportation projects serve as some of the most visible examples of our engineering capabilities. The firm s transportation structural expertise encompasses bridges, retaining walls, culverts and noise barriers. We provide design and construction phase services toward the completion of new and rehabilitated structures as well as inspection services on an individual or program basis. Helped to develop new and innovative equipment to operate from the sidewalk and eliminate the need for lane closures. Remedial Design JMT s extensive design history involves the repair and reconstruction of structures as part of routine maintenance or due to an emergency situation. Repairs for routine maintenance and rehabilitation purposes help extend the service life of structures for our clients. JMT s engineers are available to respond to emergency situations to assess initial damage, provide recommendations related to public safety and complete the required design services rapidly. Our experience allows us to develop quick, cost effective solutions to minimize the inconvenience and eliminate any safety hazards posed to the traveling public. 11 Inspection JMT has significant experience with bridge inspections for state, county, and municipally owned bridges in conjunction with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS). These inspections include elements such as non-destructive testing, destructive testing, load rating analysis, scour analysis, underwater inspections and seismic evaluations. All work is performed under the direction of registered professional engineers. JMT Team Leaders have completed the Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course as well as other specialty training. rigging to access areas of bridges that normally require traffic lane closures, thereby minimizing the inconvenience to the traveling public. JMT has performed bridge inspection services on on-call and scoped projects from Virginia to New York.
