C.3.i SITE DESIGN FACT SHEETS

Why Prepare C.3.i Site Design Fact Sheets? Provision C.3.i requires that specific site design measures be included in: Projects that create and/or replace 2,500 to 10,000 sq. ft. of impervious surface, and Individual single-family home projects that create and/or replace 2,500 square feet or more of impervious surface. Provision C.3.i also requires the preparation of standard specifications for the site design measures.

Why Prepare C.3.i Site Design Fact Sheets? Per C.3.i, the Bay Area Stormwater Management Agencies Association has drafted fact sheets on: Pervious paving Directing runoff to vegetated areas Directing roof runoff to rain barrels or cisterns Residential dry creek disperses roof runoff to landscaping (Palo Alto)

Why Prepare C.3.i Site Design Fact Sheets? Although not required by C.3.i, due to popular demand, BASMAA will also prepare a fact sheet on rain gardens. Residential rain garden in Portland, OR

Why Prepare C.3.i Site Design Fact Sheets? The fact sheets are intended to: Help applicants implement C.3.i site designs in their projects. Help municipal staff communicate requirements to applicants and review project submittals.

Draft Pervious Paving Fact Sheet Includes: Description of pervious paving Checklist: Is pervious paving right for my project? Profiles and photos of specific types of pervious paving (see subsequent slides) Design criteria and considerations List of maintenance issues
