1 2014 Event Programs Reviews Introduction of Light plus series of events This year, the organiser took a renewed approach to highlight the vital industry drivers of design, technology, market and network in the organization of event programmes to foster industry connections from lighting concept initiation to final implementation. Known as the Light plus series of events, the 2014 concurrent events programs looked at the current traditional and LED lighting industries through four series of events:

2 Light + Design 10 th Asia Lighting Arts Symposium The two-day event presented ideas on managing lighting projects- from design to implementation and Lighting inspiration in design. The event invited 14 international lighting designers, architects and lighting engineers to share their expertise on lighting design as well as showcase some of their inspirational projects. The two-day event attracted an audience of over 1,100 professional. Discussed topics: Lighting design Good illumination is one of key issues that need to be considered in projects business. What is good lighting design and how is it achieved? Lighting products How to design lighting products that could fit into the needs for both lighting designers and installers? Installation and Management Installation and management covers range of control and coordination activities; it is arguably the most crucial elements in project business. How to combine both lighting designers concept and lighting products for project business? 3 2014 Alighting Forum Lighting Design Lighting design becomes more and more important in recent years. People start to consider how lighting design can integrate architect and environment. Designers keep their mind on different perspectives for innovation design. The event invited nine world-class lighting designers, engineers, academics and company CEOs to their insight on current and upcoming lighting trends. They discussed the values and positioning of lighting design and pointed out some aspects to be considered for lighting design projects. 4 Light + Technology Asia LED Summit LEDth Summit 2014 The theme for 2014 LEDth Summit is LED Globalization: Technology, market and Future Trend. The 2014 summit consisted of 38 presentations and five panel discussions on recent developments in LED technology. The event presented in-depth market analysis, forecasts on technological developments in chips, packaging and modules, drivers and components as well as component, production and inspection equipment and their application to LED lighting. Over 1,200 professionals attended the two-day event. Attendee s feedback: Attending this summit was an eye-opening experience. We found that what makes the Russian market great to Chinese suppliers is that there is no local manufacturers of lighting products such as lamps in Russia while the demand of lighting products growth rapidly.
